Outdoor ceremony

What do you think about an outdoor ceremony in december in houston? It would be at 4 or 5 in the afternoon... too cold?

It may be too cold for some guests, but they can bring coats.  I personally would prefer to be outdoors for a winter wedding over any other season (besides those rare perfect fall or spring days in Houston).

As long as you aren't planning to do a full Catholic mass, or anything else as long, I think it would be fine.  Just don't do the entire ceremony and reception outdoors...

Also, just a thought, I'm sure you could rent some of those stand up heaters that they use in restaurants if you had to...some venues may even have them available.

    Just my thoughts...

As long as it doesn't rain, my ceremony will be outside on December 5 here in Houston around 4pm.  It's usually still in the 60s or 70s that time of year.  After a brief ceremony, we will move indoors for the reception, but I don't see the weather being a problem.  It's the only time of year I like to be outside in Houston.  Go for it!

I'm having an outdoor wedding in October and honestly the weather is just as unpredictable in October as it is in December. My suggestion would be go for it and have a back pocket plan. In Houston we can usually count on it not being too cold... plus the ceremony is only 30 min. or so.. that won't kill anyone. :)
