We are not doing anything WR this weekend. We are going to meet our friend's new baby tonight. Tomorrow we are going to see the Red Hot Chili Peppers and I am so excited for that!!

Sunday I am going to run 4 miles and then go to VS to get fitted for a strapless bra to wear to my wedding and the wedding that I am in June.

Well it looks like FI is starting to feel that it's crunch time cuz he's getting wedding inspired all by himself! Whew! What a relief for me, I hate having to be on his back. So we're going to get his tux tomorrow. : We'll also try on his daughter's dress and I have to call our maybe officiant today to see if he's made a decision. Don't even ask. I want to see if I finally get started on those flower poms too....lol I've had the materials forever but just can't get myself to get started! As for NWR, not sure there is much going on. Get togetther tonight with friends. House hunting Sat and Sun? Have to finish the paint job we started in the apt lol. Seems to be it. Have a great weekend everyone!!!

YES! I thought this day would never come! I had the hardest time getting up everyday this week which is NOT typical.

This morning several of my students are gone and I will not have students until 11:30! So I'm going to walk at the gym for maybe an hour or two- I need to burn off everything I ate last night. I seriously looked like I was 6 months pregnant when I got home from the shower. Even FI looked shocked. Time for me to give birth! (ETA: just food belly, I'm not pregnant, I hope!)

This weekend we're going to do some yard work, hopefully. We need to buy a weed eater and we also need to regrade some areas around our house.

I am just happy its friday! This week has been dragging!

WR: Tonight FI and I putting the finishing touches on the invitations (and by that I mean stuffing envelopes). Tomorrow I am going to pick up my shoes (I had them dyed) and sunday I am going dress shopping with FMIL.

Those are my only set plans for the weekend so anything else is just a bonus! However this is one of my last free weekends until the end of may! Next weekend I have a wedding and the following weekend I leave for Germany and then the last weekend I have another wedding! BUSY BUSY!

I am dragging this AM...I have been on the go go go since last Thursday...and I CANNOT wait until Sunday when I can sleep in!!!! I will have to do wedding stuff...we're going to stuff & finish invites I think...& I am hoping that we'll be able to go see our FG! Other than that I work all day today (open to close) & I work Saturday!! busy busy busy awesome freaking sale this weekend! Wish I could tell you where I work! lol

Happy Friday!! We have a holiday on Monday, so it's a three-day weekend for me!!

WR: Putting invitations in the mail - eek! I can't wait to start getting back RSVPs to start figuring out all of the things that depend on who's coming. Other than that, I just want to make progress on some DIY projects that are half done (table numbers, especially) and keep working on my must-take photos spreadsheet I started on yesterday.

NWR: Dinner at our favorite London restaurant tonight with two friends - so excited! Nothing else is set, so should be a pretty relaxed weekend.

So glad it's Friday. Tomorrow I'm doing a second hair trial (my first was not good, mostly because I picked a hair style that was completely wrong for me), and then I have my bridal shower! Since it's Cinco De Mayo, some of my friends from the shower and I are going out for drinks after and then I'm going to see The Five Year Engagement with my sister.

Sunday, my family and I are checking out a restaurant to potentially have the rehearsal dinner at. My mom has changed the location 3 times and I'm hoping to get it taken care of finally. My FMIL is paying for it, but we agreed that my family would plan it since a bunch of my OOT guests will be coming.

I also plan to address more invitations with my sister since they will be mailed out in a couple weeks.

Happy Friday everyone!!

NWR:
- going to Maggiano's with the Culinary classes today for lunch! Score!
- Were getting a new fridge today. FI and some of his football coaching buddies are going to get it after school today!
- Chaperoning Prom tomorrow. (My FI and best friend (MOH) work at the same school I do, and they are also both chaperoning. So, this will be fun!

WR:
- Second shower on Sunday. I'm much more excited for this one- b/c it's for my side & all my friends will be there!

EDIT: OMG, how could I forget?! I also have a dress fitting tonight!

Ahhh I have been looking forward to this day all week!!

WR: INVITES GOING OUT TODAY! I am so excited, obv. And I'm getting my nails done with my mom tonight for my shower tomorrow! And then FI and I are meeting with the venue on Sunday. It's going to be a busy but so fun weekend.

NWR: Um, can't think of a single thing haha.

TGIF!!!!

WR: Putting my invitations in the mail. But that is pretty much it. I am taking the weekend off from wedding stuff.

NWR: It's my nieces First Communion on Sunday so I will be doing that, other than that FI & I are just going to hang out and do NOTHING. hahaha. That has never sounded so good!

@Mbody, it took me until now to realize we are near each other! When you said Magiano's it clicked

WR: My second shower is tomorrow! My parents got into town last night and I took them to where the rehearsal is going to be (@Mbody, we're doing Leona's and it's a steal!) they loved it. Tonight I'm hosting a dinner party at my apartment, FI gets home this afternoon and his parents as well as FSIL her hubby and baby are coming over, plus my MOH. I hope it doesn't rain since I'm doing brats on the grill.

NWR: FSIL is throwing the shower with FMIL tomorrow, but then on Sunday FSIL is having the Christening of her baby so that is Sunday's fun.

Hopefully I'll get lots of mail tomorrow (landlord says we should have the key's back to the mailman by then) and I'm hoping I have 30 RSVP's (unrealistic I know, but still I can hope!)

I'm so glad this week is over! I was working on my paper for grad class and felt like a zombie all week.

WR: Writing my bridal shower thank yous and mailbox stalking for RSVPs

NWR: Going to my cousin's wedding tomorrow night! It's at the NY Botanical Gardens and the weather is supposed to be nice so I'm really excited

On Sunday we are going to brunch with FI's family. This brunch is crazy... it lasts from 1 - 4 and they just keep bringing all different dishes out. I think they have like 30 courses??? We've done it a few times before so I'm really just going to have a few bites of the dishes I really love b/c I've been eating really badly this last week. I HAVE to squeeze some workouts in this weekend bc I have my dress fitting on Wednesday.

Flobear- I'm outside of Joliet. Are you in the city? A lot of my friend live around Lakeview/Wrigley/LP so I'm down there quite a bit. Not as much as I used to, but maybe once a month. (I used to pack bags and stay entire weekends a couple times a month.) I don't think I've ever eaten at Leona's, but I used to walk past the on Sheffield a lot and it always smelled so good! And when I mentioned Maggiano's, I didn't even think that others might not know what that is. I'm chaperoning a school field trip to eat there. (It's a Culinary class.)

Its Finally Friday!!!! I'm so excited since this week has been so stressful, which sucks because it was supossed to be my break week. Luckily this weekend will be relaxing.

NWR: Tomorrow we're going to the Mets game! So excited!! I won these tickets so they are really good seats. I won't have much money to buy stuff though, which is sad because I need a new jersey. Hopefully the team stops sucking. Then Sunday my whole family is going to see Avengers. We are all big comic book fans so that should be fun.

WR: Not much this weekend. Working on TY's from my first shower. Continue planning the RD. Address envelopes. Thats pretty much it.

thank GOD it is Friday....this week has been super tough and I am exhausted.

Somehow, by the graces of god, fiance and I were productive last night! We ordered rehearsal dinner invites for his parents, ordered return address labels for his parents and for my parents for our invites, ordered our stamp for our RSVP cards, and got all sorts of free goodies since it was a vistaprint order!

Tonight we are taking a workshop with Kathryn Budig - she is an amazing California yoga instructor who is most well known for her "yogitoes" advertisements where she is naked and doing various forms of handstands. I am SO EXCITED to meet her!

Tomorrow I am heading to Chicago. I am heading up with one of my bridesmaids and her sister who I am good friends with too, so we can shop and play in the city some before our other friend's bachelorette party. Apparently we are renting some type of town car/party shuttle thing ( i really have no idea what it is) and going out and I am planning on taking multiple tequila shots.

I am absolutely exhausted with house hunting. Our jerk of a seller of the house we put an offer in for decided not to even respond to our offer (seriously). He wrote a super sh*tty email to our realtor that really couldn't be classified as a response. He didn't counter and didn't even formally reject it. I am just glad it is over with, and if he doesn't warp his realities into shape, he is never, ever going to sell his home.

We keep going back and forth between wanting to buy our forever house now, or buying a cool house that we could be in for a few years after having kids, but would want to move out of before they got too old. We are thinknig we will buy a cool and smaller house that we could be in for probably 5-7 years (we are probably waiting 2-3 years to try to have kids) and move after that, mostly because here, when you get anywhere close to luxury homes (which is kind of what we are looking at for a forever house), everything is just out of whack. There are no comps, the appraisal system is hard to manage, and we think its probably smarter to buy something more affordable now and upgrade when the housing market has evened out a little. Sigh. I love going into houses and looking at them, but I REALLY just want to be a homeowner already!!! (This seems more like a WTF. I didn't mean for it to be, haha!) But anyway, we are going to look at a few more houses on Sunday night once I get back from Chi - hopefully I am not too hungover!

JEALOUS. and Seriously... ughhhh

WR: I just realized our RD invites have absolutely no information about the rehearsal itself... DOH. My hair trial is next week so I really need to decide wtf I'm doing with my hair. Our invites are ready to go but I feel like I should wait another week to send them out..... Bridal shower for my cousin's FI is Sunday and it's 2 hours away so I'm kind of not looking forward to it.

NWR: Going furniture shopping with FI. We bought 2 BEAUTIFUL Oriental rugs last weekend at a ridiculous clearance sale so now we need some couches/tables that match. It looks like our house closing will be moved up by 2 weeks so we're thrilled to have the extra time to work on it and get settled.

Happy Friday, everyone!

WR:
I had an actual anxiety attack last night while trying to address our invitations. I screwed up 3 of the first 8 I tried to address, which made me hyperventilate and cry hysterically and almost pass out (I am such a freakin drama queen), so I'm going to have to start on those again tonight. I also ordered 30 extra envelopes so that I won't feel like I'm a total failure if I mess more of them up. UGH. So, they aren't going to go out till Monday or Tuesday, unfortunately. These invitations are going to be the death of me.

NWR: Cinco de Mayo and Derby! I am going to hopefully try to relax a bit on Saturday. Plus, it's a friend's 30th birthday and she's having a party, so if I finish enough of the invitations, I'm going to that.

Everyone sounds like they have such fun plans! Good luck with your fittings, showers, etc. everyone

This weekend:

Tonight: hanging out with FI, watching movies and doing nothing

Tomorrow: working out, doing pedicures at a "spa party" for one of the little girls that I babysit, maybe going to see a movie with FI

Sunday: Sunday Funday! Laying out by the pool at my parents' house. Writing thank you notes for my shower gifts.

bridetobe: at least you have yours!!! according to my seller, my invites will MAYBE ship by the END of next week. It is making me suicidal!!!

Just relax and take some deep breaths. Maybe next time you start addressing, you can have a glass of wine as you go along to keep yourself calm. Now that we aren't going to be able to use a calligrapher, I am nervous about it too....:(

<div>I totally feel your pain about addressing invites! I definitely had a meltdown.. I couldn't believe how many I messed up. Once I did a bunch, I felt more relaxed and was able to finish them. I'm not used to writing in all cursive, so it was a long process! GL and you will be fine!! </div>

k8888 and BeachLover - US TOO! We went to a wedding in July and never received a TY. I also never received a TY from the bride for her shower gift (which was extremely generous, if I say so myself . . . hahaha).

Some people are just SO RUDE.

butterfly - Yeah, seriously, I had a total meltdown. Fiance freaked out on me and was like, PULL YOURSELF TOGETHER!!! That made me cry more.

That makes me feel a little better! What is the etiquette anyone? Within a month of the shower? I have heard for wedding gifts it's w/in a year, but that just seems crazy long. My goal is to do them w/in 2 months. I hope that's not too long though.
