ATLANTIS?? and wedding experience

I am getting married in 7 months and have thought about having a small 20-25 person wedding at Atlantis, but not sure if that is too much to ask of everyone, and NO idea what to expect... anyone have any experience?

  • I'm not sure what or where Atlantis is.  These are international boards, if Atlantis is a local place in Florida, you probably want to ask on the local board.  Just click Local Wedding Boards on the left side here to find it.

  • I'm assuming you're talking about the Atlantis resort in the Bahamas? Or the one in Dubai? In either case, this would be a destination wedding.

There's a DW board where you might find some more assistance, but the best thing to do might be to contact the resort and discuss their packages, pricing, etc. directly with them, as these things can change from year to year and season to season.

  • i'm getting married in Atlantis, Bahamas not Dubai, in March (peak season for this resort, just before the spring break crowd, but way too hot to have a wedding their in the summer months)... about a 25-30 guest list, just went yesterday to their offices in Plantation, FL to discuss details, it can get expensive, they offer group room rates at all the towers, we're staying at the cove tower usually $700-800 a night rooms, group rate will be in the $300s, other towers are cheaper, my family is used to the expense there since we have traveled there before, but some friends are using it as their sole vaca next year. good luck!!

  • I got engaged in Atlantis!  We walked to the Versailles gardens and there's a gazebo that overlooks the ocean.  It was so romantic and a wedding would be absolutely beautiful there :)
  • Also, we stayed the at the Comfort Inn.  It's right outside Atlantis Resort and you get FULL access to all of Atlantis.  It's a lot more affordable.  It's a standard hotel room, nothing extravagent, but not bad at all.  I highly recommend this for your guests to make the trip more affordable.
