Including FOG's Girlfriend

I scoured the posts looking for something similar, but had no luck.  My fiance's dad has been dating his girlfriend for years, they don't live together, and there is no bad blood between his parents and their significant others.  The day of the wedding all the women are coming to my parents house to get ready, and I am decorating wine glasses for everyone (mother of bride, mother of groom, MOH, bridesmaid, etc.).  My question is what should I put on my fiance's dad's girlfriends glass?  She's not a step mother, but she feels like it, and is always included (will be escorting FOG down the eisle, corsage, etc.)  Any suggestions would be great!  Thanks!!

  • Can you just put her first name?

  • I would ask your FI and his father what they'd like.  I think it's great that you're including her.

Everything the light touches is my kingdom.
  • I would use First names for all the glasses.

Not to be a debbie downer, but I would not want a glass that said "bridesmaid".  I barely would want one with my name on it, but it does come in handy to know which glass is yours when there are others ones that look the same.

What differentiates an average host and a great host is anticipating unexpressed needs and wants of their guests.  Just because the want/need is not expressed, doesn't mean it wouldn't be appreciated.

Ditto this. If I'm understanding OP, the mom's glass would say "Mom" on it, etc? I would probably do first names or initials for all. In fact, maybe just first initial in a pretty script would be best.

  • Thanks for all your responses!  My plan is do do a dress design on the front of the glass with each person's first name on the back and then the date and MOH or Bridesmaid on the foot of the glass.  For my mom and his mom I was going to put their names and MOB/MOG opposite from their name (no dress design)...I guess I should have explained this.  For FOG's girlfriend I think I will put her name and a different dress design.  Again, I appreciate all your help!
