Bucket List.

Realizing that I haven't even experienced a tenth of what I want to in life, I am in the midst of writing a Bucket List - you know, 100 things you want to do before "you kick the bucket." I have to say, it's incredibly liberating and frightening, putting down all the things you want to do. It's even more freeing to actually do something on the list and crossing it off.

Has anyone here ever done a Bucket List? What's on yours?

Mine is mostly places I want to to go:

    Australia
    Greece
    Italy
    Spain
    The UK
    Austria
    Mostly all of Europe really.
    The Bahamas

Really if I get to even one or two of those places I will be happy.

It's really hard to make one. I'm trying to make the big 100 one, but damn it if it isn't hard. I've got 75 so far, and I've done about...9.

You inspired me to try to make one, but you're right! Is it ever hard! I've never really though about what I want to do beyond career/family/etc so this is an interested process. Maybe it'll help me get out of the slump I've been feeling lately.

In answer to your original question, so far mine is mostly places I want to go. Ireland, Italy, Germany, Austria, Cuba, France, etc. I want to compete in a pretty prestigious singing competition too.

    GL with yours!

The only things really on my bucket list anymore are get married and have kids.  I went to Europe when I was 14 and loved it - yes, there are places I wouldn't mind going back to someday, but if I don't go back, I won't be heartbroken.  I have a college degree (that I'm very proud to say I managed to get a 4-yr degree in just 3 1/2...helps when you have no life during college, haha).

One "fun" thing that I actually consider my bucket list - I'm a big NASCAR nut and I'd like to visit every track on the NASCAR circuit someday...I've only been to 2 so far - guess I'd better live a nice long life.

Live in a foreign country is the biggest one on mine atm.  It seems like a fun idea, maybe I'll make a real list after I graduate (in two weeks!!!)

What I think everyone should put on their bucket listl: Go somewhere you're uncomfortable, and stay at least three days.  Some of my most amazing experiences have been where I don't speak the language, or know nothing about the culture, or have no control over where we're going, etc because I had to give up and just enjoy whatever happened next!  In France I like to randomly point to things on the menu and then eat whatever comes out, even if it looks horrifying :-)  I've had some amazing meals that way!

CMGr- I work in cancer research, a few years ago I went to a retreat for women with cancer and met eight amazing ladies.  Only one was healthy enough to make it to my wedding a couple weeks ago, but hugging her was the only time I cried that day.  She had told me on the last day that she had to go into remission because she was going to come to my wedding and take my daughters, when I have them, to see the fairy parade Smile

I hope your treatment is going well and you get to see your kids both married and have the chance to play with your gradnchildren!
