COFFEE OVERLOAD... POLL

Our wedding is inspired by our love of... you got it... COFFEE Kiss

(The Perfect Blend)

For the table names, instead of doing numbers we either want to name the tables after exotic places that coffee is grown or coffee flavors.

Re: COFFEE OVERLOAD... POLL

  • I thought flavor names might be more politically correct.  You may not know if your guests are sensitive to fair trade practices and coffee from X country may "offend," for lack of a better word, them.  There isn't much you can do if they are offended by French Vanilla though :)

You know, I never even thought about it that way, but then again nowadays you can barely use the term MARRIAGE without it being offensive to some! LOL... What a world we live in/ P.S. I LOVEEEEEEEEEEEEEE FRENCH VANILLA, LOL

[QUOTE]You sound like my type of girl.   Personally, I like the sound of the places better than flavors, but it's just preference.

Well I love life, I love to have a good time, I love to make others happy and I love creativity! If this sounds like you, then you are definitely my type of gal! <img src="http://cdn.cl9.vanillaforums.com/downloaded/ver1.0/content/scripts/tinymce/plugins/emotions/images/smiley-laughing.gif" border="0" alt="Laughing" title="Laughing" /> I love both ideas so much, that I jist can't decide, so I'm asking all my knottie gals to help me decide!

I think the places give it an exotic feel, but the flavors are more forward and direct of what the theme is.

  • I voted flavors, because people might not get the place thing.  Or at least I wouldn't.

But what about blends, like Sumatra, Frech Roast, .....yeah, that's all I've got for now.  But you get my jist.  :)

  • Are you by chance doing a coffee bar at your reception?  That would be soooo cute! And I don't know your budget...but a barista would be very posh.  You could even go to a local starbucks or something and ask one of them to do it for their hourly rate or something??

Coffee mugs would be a fun favor too. Or bags of coffee.....

Yes we are having all the espresso, cappuccino, special blends and brews one's heart can stand! LOL... they even provide the chocolate or caramel covered spoons and stirrers and I may do little doughnut holes or beneigh's (which are my fav)to help cap off the evening.

  • I love the idea of coffee themed!  I really do! I like doing the types of coffee.
Also, I'm sure you've thought of this but...... I love this idea for decoration, centerpieces what not.  You can sometimes find beans from a roaster that didnt quite make their cut and you can either pick the beans up for free or really inexpensive, I have this type of arrangement on my table right now and when the candles are lit, it smells amazing, not too over powering.

We are actually using 1-6in. cylinder vase filled with coffee beans with a floating candle on top on each side of a 20in vase that is filled with curly willow, cymbodium and dendrobium orchids with hanging votives on the branches!
