Transportation help please :)

We're torn (well mostly myself) between traditional limo and the trolley here in Columbus. I don't much like the limo idea because it's prom-like. I don't want my wedding to remind me of prom night. The trolley is less traditional but the wedding is in June and not all the trolleys have AC.

Any ideas of creative transportation? We need to make a decision ASAP!

TIA

What about a horse drawn carriage? Or do you know anyone who has a cool, old car such as a Mustang or a Cobra? I am not sure if companies rent those kinds of cars out, but you could check around.

We did the Wedding Experience in March and were able to try out the Trolley, a Strech Exursion and a Party Shuttle.

We really liked the Party Shuttle and the Trolley the most b/c of how easy they were to get in and out of. The Limo was a pain to get out of as we were all in cocktail dresses and heels. It was also a pain b/c you have to try and crouch and walk. I can't imagine how annoying it would have been with a wedding dress on.

I think the pictures would be cuter on a trolley and more original.

Did you check out columbustrolley(.com)?  I thought I saw somewhere that they have AC, but I could be wrong.  And June usually isn't painfully hot like July and August.  I say Trolley, but I'm biased :)  I'm so excited for Trolley photos.

Just used Columbus Trolley...ran a few minutes late, so tell them 15 minutes early.  FUN,FUN,FUN.

I would love to tag onto your question.  I really want to rent a classic car like one of the ones in the picture below, but I have no idea where to find them.  Does anyone have any ideas?  TIA!

We were in a similar situation. I have never been in a limo  and was unsure how I would feel riding around in a trolley. My husband said he's been in enough limos and doesn't like them and that he really wanted a trolley. He let me do whatever I wanted during the planning and the only thing he was really insistent on was having a trolley, so we got one. So happy we did- so much fun, we were able to more around, made for great pics (our photographer rode with us while her assistant drove behind), had food and drinks, and the bridal party loved it, too. We used Columbus Trolley, and we didn't have any problems with them showing up on time. I asked for a contact number for our driver the day before, spoke to the driver the morning of and confirmed locations and times and he was even a flexible with the time- I was afraid our ceremony would let out earlier and asked him to come 15 minutes early and he did. Highly recommend!

I just talked to Mark Hagan (I think that's his last name) today.  Apparently he has something like 10-12 classic cars (said 1930s through 50s) that he rents out for weddings.  He quoted me $500 for 3 hours which includes a driver for pics around the Arena District and ceremony drop-off.  A bit pricier than a limo but infinitely cooler for pics and fun.  FI and I are going to look at his selection in the next few days.  614.554.5879  Also, Cardinal Transportation has 2 classic cars if you're interested.

Just an FYI...The 1950 Cadillac is no longer available at Cardinal Transportation. The owner decided to sell it. They do have a 1960 Rolls Royce for $425 for a 2 hr minimum. ($135/hr for each additional hr.)
