Hi Ladies!

I just wanted to drop in and say hello for the first time. I've been engaged since March but I'm just starting to really plan. I moved to MN earlier this year (from Boston) but we're planning a DW in Key West for Feb 2011. I want to start shopping for wedding dresses but realized I haven't a clue as to where I should shop so I figured it was time to visit the MN knotties

I got my dress from The Wedding Shoppe in St Paul. I was very pleased with their service and attention. I felt that they had a great selection organized by price and the consultant I worked with was great about bringing me styles that I wanted and looked best on my body type.

I loved Brides of France. You don't have to make appt's there, and they were nicer to me than other places. I do recommend going right away when they open so you don't have to wait!

I second The Wedding Shoppe. I had a great experience there, but ended up getting my dress somewhere else. I went on a weekday, which seemed to be key, since I hear they get pretty crazy and therefore less patient on weekends. They have a great selection.

I also went to Brides of France in Mpls and the woman working there was great. Unfortunately they didn't have many dresses in larger sizes that were in my price range, so didn't buy there either.

Dena Marie in Roseville had a ton of selection, but very little over size 12 so there weren't enough for me to try on for me to buy there.

I ended up buying at Mestad's in Rochester (just over an hour south of St Paul). Great selection and great customer service. I know a lot of brides who have found their dresses there. I grew up in SE MN, and that was kind of the go-to place for all brides in that area of the state.
