Thanks, Mendi and Cali. I can definitely handle a one day type class. I'm kind of nervous I'll do it wrong with the dummy and look stupid and fail, haha, but I'm sure that's just me being ridiculous.

I...don't really know what to say about Edie. I might be more worked up if I were involved. I do understand why other people are upset with her. She posts mainly here and on SB, and then boom, she becomes mod of CC and her loyalties lie with Lucy?

ETA - I'm not saying that's the reason other people are upset, just that it's weird.

[QUOTE]Lizzie - That actually happens? I've read jokes about the any key but didn't think anyone was actually that dumb. Habs - How is your cat (that was you, right, with the stitches problem)? Did you have to go back to the vet?

    Hey Sesh!

She's good.  I just monitored it and it looked good, so after 7 days I took her collar off and she went to town licking off the glue and low and behold, a normal incision was under there.  They had just glued it all together really messily, so that's what made the star fish.  She's all healed up now and has returned to wreaking havoc on the house.  lol.  Thanks for asking and thanks for your help when I was freaking out!

  • I just read that whole KL thread on SB.  Wow.  She went down in epic flames.  I guess if you're going to go BSC, go big or go home.

  • Mendi, whereabouts in SC?  TBH, unless your going to the coast, there's not a whole lot to see.  But let me know and I may be able to point you in the right direction.  I've lived pretty much everywhere in the state.
  • thank friggin goodness!

My brain is totally fried!  Work is just sucking every livin' brain cell out of my head.  Do not get me wrong, I love it!  But holy hanna.
  • Morning everyone!

After yesterday's dramaz, I feel like today just won't live up.

I'm wishing I would have called in today. The drop in temps has my sinuses all wacked out and I'm fighting a headache. Plus, it's supposed to storm and I really prefer to be home cozy in bed on these days.

I agree with Eagles, Edie definitely needs to explain. Sh*t at this point I'd be fine with the lame typed out replays of the e-mail chain, or blacking out whatever sh*t she and Lucy talked about, just to see what started the conversation in the first place. So ridiculous. And Button's right, I was shocked at her lack of posting and how long it took her to show up in the first place given that she's always posting. Oh well, I have a feeling she's just going to ride it out and it'll all just fall into TK history with no real resolution.

On a lighter note: Stacks - your new sig pic is super cute!

Eages - I was actually just wondering (almost put it in my first post) if you were taking a HM. You guys haven't decided yet?

I'm not gurl but I live in Beaufort. This year I was on the beach in march but it started getting consistently warm in the April/may time frame but the ocean is still cold.

  • Eags, pretty much the beginning of May through the end of September, it's warm down there.  I like Hilton Head because it's less touristy, than say Myrtle Beach or Charleston.  My H hates it because every single building looks the exact same, so it takes a minute to familiarize yourself with your surroundings.  My parents vacation there every year in late August.  If you do go there, you have to go to the Frosty Frog.  That place is awesome.

Personally, I would recommend Charleston though.  So much to do and see there, and the food is banging.  Hymen's, the Charleston Crab House, and the battery are all things that go to/eat when I'm there.  The Social Wine bar is fun, as well as Magnolia's.  We went on a dinner cruise when we were down there and that was awesome.

Oh, and I may be biased because we had our HM in Charleston.  I found a 2 bedroom, 1 bath condo for $800 for the week about 15 minutes from downtown Charleston and 2 blocks from the beach.

Well, that was more lengthy than I thought it would be.

Driving in to Ft Jackson to see FI's son graduating BT. I 'think' we are staying in Charleston, FI has a friend lending us a condo - if that works out. Idk that I'm looking forward to the drive time, but I am looking forward to seeing so much!

  • I agree with Eagles. Edie does need to show proof, or give better than one word or one sentence explanations.  I wasn't affected by the bannings, but the boards were in uproar and it was just ridiculous!   It's one thing to dislike some people on the boards, and I'm sure some of that spills over into off board communications and all, but to carry that off board shiiit over to the boards and ban?  Especially over something as stupid as insulting dogs and tighty whities?  That's just bullshite!

  • Happy birthday Ski!

Stacks or other Columbusites - Have you ever been to the Emerald City Players in Dublin? They're doing a "100 years of broadway show" tomorrow we're considering going to. It sounds awesome, just curious as to if anyone has been and they have an opinion on them.

That's good! They must have put a lot of glue on for it to make that weird shape.
  • Adamar-Hurrah for freedom. Glad you're getting some acknowledgment, too.
Habs, glad about the kitty, sorry about your cramps.
Got to get a bunch of stuff done today-we're celebrating FI's bday tonight since he's busy most of the weekend.
