1 Best Man, 0 MOH ?

Quick question about honor attendants: 

FI and I have each confirmed 4 attendants. I have my two younger sisters standing closest to me (in order of age) and then two close friends from childhood. I could never separate my sisters into "MOH" and "BM," and all 4 girls are really important to me. My friends are my age and are more tuned in to wedding stuff so they have been a huge help and I am grateful to them.

FI is an only child, and has 3 friends and one cousin, with one of the friends standing closest to him. FI would like this GM to be a "Best Man", but I think the titles don't really matter that much.

So, options:
1 Best Man + 3 Groomsmen // 0 MOH + 4 Bridesmaids
1 Best Man + 3 Groomsmen // 2 MOHs (sisters) + 2 BMs (friends)
4 Groommen // 4 Bridesmaids

I'm voting for the third one, and FI would prefer either of the first two, but this isn't something that either one of us is willing to go to battle for. Thoughts? Opinions? Experiences?

    FI and I are each having five attendants, but one of mine is an honor attendant and none of his are. 

    1 Best Man + 3 Groomsmen // 0 MOH + 4 Bridesmaids sounds like your best option- it's perfectly okay for you not to have a designated honor attendant even if he does.

    Like you said, titles really don't matter, so I really wouldn't worry about it. 

    Also, you don't really get a say as to whether or not he has a best man or just 4 GMs...if he feels that he wants to name one of his GM a Best Man then he has every right to.

    First one.   Barring truely exceptional circumstances (proposed groomsman assaulted you, proposed bridesmaid tried to sleep with him, etc) neither of you should make decisions about the other person's wedding party.  If he wants a best man, but you don't want an MOH, that's fine.  Odds are, unless you put it in the program, none of the guests will be able to tell anyway.

    You should have 4 BM and he should have 1 BM and 3 GM. I don't think you should dictate him on his side of the WP. Just because he has a BM does not mean you have to have a MOH.

    Our WP now is: 2 MOH and 4 BM and he has 5 GM. No biggie and I never gave it a second thought.

    He picks his, you pick yours - that goes for the people as well as their titles.  If he wants a BM he should have a BM.  Likewise If you don't want to pick a MOH you shouldn't have to.

    Thanks for the input, ladies. I appreciate/needed the grounding. I think that thinking about programs has got me all caught up in whose names will go on which line, when really, who TF cares? And without programs, who even knows what the "titles" are?

    MBODY - How do you plan on having your 5 and his 4 walk down the aisle?  The reason I ask is because we have the same thing.  Didn't know if we should alternate one by one,  or one guy gets two girls,  etc.......

    Just curious what you thought.

    To OP:  I'd do 1 BM 4 GM and O MOH and 4 BM.  You both win.  :)
