  Our wedding is 11/2/12 and we booked our honeymoon (a cruise) at the beginning of January.  Since we booked, the prices have increased slightly. 

  
  

  We have not booked our flights yet.  I've been checking prices of flights every Tuesday since we booked our cruise - we'll book once the prices come down a bit.

  I got married in November and we booked a little weird.  Because we used a timeshare, we booked the room as soon as they accepted reservations, which was a year out, it wasn't vital that we did it that soon, but we figured we already knew where we were going, so we might as well.  However, we watched the air fare prices for several months to determine the trends and finally purchased them in May.
  
  If you are going to be booking flights and hotel together, I think May would probably still be a good time for both, but I'd keep checking the prices weekly to make sure they aren't going up substantially or something.

  I would keep checking the prices and as soon as you see one that you think is good book it!!  We booked our July honeymoon this past december and the flight prices are now double what we paid for them!!  Don't wait too long.

  i think u should book as soon as possible. with gas prices steadily on the rise airfare will most likely go up and you want to make sure you get the room/flights/seats you want.

  I was a November bride. We booked in January. I'm glad we did because our cruise price increased by almost $1000 after I booked. And these days, the same flight is about $100 more per person than it was when I booked. I'd book soon.

  <div>This is why we just booked our's. The actual rooms and trips may not go up as much but the flights will since summer is just around the corner. We also bought a full insurance with our TA so if the flights or hotel goes down, we get the difference back. =)</div>

  That's a good point about the gas prices.  This time last year was a lot different because gas wasn't already at $4/gallon.

  Agreed - that is a good point.  I'm still kind of torn as to whether to book our flights now or not.  We'll be flying from PHL to TPA for our cruise.  I've never paid much more than $200 for a flight to Tampa.  Recently, they've been anywhere from $350 to $400.  It kills me to pay that much.  I have no idea what to do...

  i say book it. 350-400 isn't bad really. also you can play around with flight days and times-maybe that will save a bit more.

  Book ASAP.  You'll have better choices and, most likely, better prices.

  If you know the date you want to travel, you can track the flight for a week or two to see how the price fluctuates on yapta. I think I will always use that site in the future for when I need to book airfare.

  I would definately book soon. My wedding is 11/10/2012 and the cruise we plan on going on leaves the 11th. I first found it about 2 months ago and the price is still the same today but I am sure it will rise soon so I am hoping to book it ASAP. I live in FL so I dont have to worry about flights or a hotel so its a bit easier for me but yes I agree with everyone that the sooner the better. Usually April is when prices begin soaring for the season because of gas prices rising and we all know oil costs pretty much control everything.
