Invitations- where can we go besides hallmark?

Hi everyone!

FI and I went to hallmark to look at the invitation books fri night. It was good to get an idea asto what is out there, but we did not find one we loved. Where else is there that we can go and look at invitations that would have more selection? And if we look online, do any sites send you samples so you can see what the paper looks like in person? I am leery of ordering sight unseen.

Finally, any other sources for DIY invites besides michaels? FI did not like the styles there, but we are open to diy if we find something we like.

Thanks so much- you guys are always so helpful!

I went to Party City- they have tons!!! and Papyrus (too $$$).  I ended up ordering my Birchcraft invitations (brand Party City had) online at www.birchcraftinvitations.com and they came in 4 day and looked amazing.  Good luck!

I used Magnet Street for my save the dates but I know they do invitations too. I liked them because you are able to customize your colors with any of the invitations.

I was also hesitant about ordering my invitations online because I wanted  to see actual samples plus it reassured me to be working with someone who had a lot of experience with all the wording, etc. (Although I did my Save the Dates online)  I used Invitations by Camille in Maywood and she couldn't have been more helpful!  Very sweet and accomodating.  We are using very simple invitations, but she did have a ton of books in her office.  You can also browse some of her selection online.

I looked online and could not find exactly what I was looking for. Went to olive branch papery and she created a design we both loved and was reasonable.

Etsy has a lot of wedding invitations... some are pricey but they can send you samples for a minimal fee. I have gotten free samples from vistaprint, davids bridal, magnetstreet, and weddingpaperdivas. Good luck!

I got custom invites from Jessica's Design Shop.  Two of my friends used her too.  I was very happy with my invites and other paper products.

I ordered mine from The Green Kangaroo designs (www.tgkdesigns.com). i told them the colors of my wedding and they sent extra paper and ribbon colors that helped me decide in addition to a sample of the actual pocket invitation.  I loved the custom map and the timeline cards they had.
