[QUOTE]In Response to Re: OMG Entertain ME! : YOu have no idea how much better this makes me feel :) acaponi - sounds like the major decision (to move) has been made, and now it's just logistics.  From experience - make sure at least one of you had a job before you go - however long that takes.  And if the other one goes without a job, make sure you can financially handle that.  H and I based out of Denver and Cleveland respectively for 6 months while we got bills paid off.  I was a month away from giving notice and moving without a job when I got my job offer, but don't start your new life together off with taking unnecessary financial risks.  You don't need that stress.  And there's another Knottie who's not around anymore who got a low paying job in the new place, and then her H quit his job, and then he couldn't find one and she was unhappy, stressed and sick all the time over the situation of not having their own place (living with the in-laws) and not being able to pay all their bills on her low salary - and she ended up not liking the job and not being able to quit - bad news all the way around.

Thanks for the advice Loopy. Yeah we will not be moving unless FI has a job lined up that pays more than what his currently does (he's pretty underpaid right now so that won't be too much of a stretch). We are pretty much living off of his salary right now because all of my money has been going toward the wedding.  I totally agree on the financial thing though, and my FI is the most financially responsible/aware person I know so we won't be moving unless it will be a step up so to speak.

I appreciate listening to my rant :)

  • Good evening everyone!

FI and I just got back from our marriage preparation retreat.  We went and dropped off our certificate of completion to his grandfather (he is a deacon and is doing our ceremony) and stayed for dinner.

Now, I have Long Island Medium on in the background, and getting ready (ie procrastinating) to type up our finalized guest list on Excel...fun times.

    [QUOTE]Anna, why the assessor?

<div>We're refinancing.  We got an opportunity to get a ridiculously low rate, it'll take almost $200 off each payment, shorten it by 8 months, and maybe give us a little fix-up money in our pockets if it gets assessed high enough.</div>

[QUOTE]I am trying to meal plan but come up with healthy options.  It is hard when I don't eat cheese with the exception of mozzarella, and even that is rare.  It seems everything has some sort of dairy in it and that makes it hard.

<div>I don't think my meal plan has any cheese except for a bit of parmesean on Wednesday night's potatoes.</div>
  • I love cheese.  All kinds :)
  • Cheese is the best. I don't know what I would do without it.

We are having steak, grilled zuch and an Asian salad tonight. I am so hungry!

That sounds like fun! You're getting closer!!
  • KD, we went and picked fresh blackberries today. I'm making a no sugar added pie tonight (or attempting anyway) so I can have some guilt-free pie. We had rain yesterday so they are so big and plump, I'll probably just use cornstarch and stevia and call it a day.

    Hi!

    Loopy, congratulations!!

I made Skinny Taste stuffed peppers for my family for dinner, but I added in a pack of taco seasoning since the last time I made it it was a bit bland.  That definitely helped kick it up a notch and it was delicious.

I got Lucy some Frosty Paws for a birthday treat today.  She couldn't figure out what to do with it at first. She just kept looking at the bowl with her head cocked.  Once she finally figured out she is supposed to lick it, she went to town.  She's so weird.

<div>I know!  We didn't send out STDs and I was kind of having a little anxiety about the guest list.  FMIL didn't give me a list of FI's family until today, and we will be just fine.  My mom wants to invite a few more people from our side and FI's and my list of friends is relatively small.  We are trying to keep it around 150-175 and we will be right at that mark.  </div>

I've never seen it, it seems like a cute idea!
  • It looks cute, but I'm kind of 'meh' about photobooths.
