Affordable Wedding Dress Shopping in Houston?

Hi! 
I am trying to find a beautiful wedding dress for under $1K.  My family is all from out of state and we were able to find some in my former small town when my sisters got married, but i am worried things might be more expensive here in Houston...does anyone have any advice?

    You would be surprised that many places here the gowns are under $1k.
    Try these places.

    Ventura's Bridal
    Princess Bridal
    Brickhouse
    Weddings by Debbie

    All the places STB metioned are great recs, I got mine at Venturas for I think about 650, great service

    shoot I got mine from Jessica McClintock for $215. there are plenty of places to find dresses. my sister got hers for right at $1K at Mon Cherie Bridal in Pasadena, and hers was one of the more expensive and elaborate dresses in the shop. I'm going there for my alterations, they're very reasonable.

    I must second the Ventura recommendation.  I actually went there today and it was after leaving a very plush (and expensive) boutique where the service was lackluster to say the least but I thought I found "the dress."  When I first walked into Ventura I thought ok this is not going to be it.  I had this expensive boutique look in my head.  Boy was I wrong.  I showed the consultant a picture of "the dress" and she said "whatever, I can do that!"  She was right.  She not only helped me find THE DRESS but she also helped me and my MOH pick the BM dresses too.  I would highly recommend Ventura!  I came in wayyy under my budget (my budget was $1500) and I had an excellent experience!

    If you want designer top of the line for a great price go to Ventura's Bridal I got my Private Label By G dress for 934.00 including tax, alternations and preservation bag. Also if you just want a beautiful gown with great style go to Alfred Angelo the have awesome gowns between 300 and 1000.00. Davids bridal gowns look and feel a little low quality to me maybe that's why they have 99.00 gown sales.
