Wedding Planner!!!

Ladies,
I need you all badly. I am a bride on a very low budget. I only want to spend $7500 on my wedding for the whole shebang. I was trying to do it on my own since I am working with practically no money but I am overwhelmed. Do you ladies know of any affordable wedding planners that can help out?

Seems like you are either looking for a full wedding planner or at least a partial one, right? It's very hard to find a full or partial planner for an affordable price...at least I noticed when I was shopping around for day of coordinator. I was lucky to have found my planners and at the time I booked them they were having 50% off all their wedding packages and went with partial planning. I suggest contacting Just Chic Wedding and Events (http://www.justchicplanning.com/). They are affordable so def check them out.
  • HI Ebony, I know the angst, anxiety and frustration you're experiencing. When I began wedding planning, my initial budget was 7K (luckily, my fiance agreed to a 3k buffer).

But good news, it's totally DOABLE! You'll just have to be practical when it comes to venues (think Restaurants for ceremony and reception) and definiitely the guest count. My venue and food costs were under 5K as long as I kept my guest list to around 110-ish.

You can definitely do the long-term planning on your own. But I'd also recommend a partial/day of coordinator. Check wedding channel, because someone is always running a deal on there.

Dania and I are using the same wedding planner, and we both lucked out at scoring them during a deal. I'd still recommend watching out for their Wedding Channel site because you never know.

PM me if you have any questions. I did a ton of research on my own before contracting a wedding planner, so I may have a few ideas/leads for you. HTH

  • I agree everything Reane said...planning your own wedding is very doable and I would suggest getting a day of coordinator so she can take care of every a month prior to your wedding. This board is a good source to use for recommendations, advice, and leads. It has helped me a lot while I was planning our wedding on my own.

What do you need help in still? We can offer suggestions :)
