Hair/Makeup timing

Hey ladies- I was wondering if you are planning on having your hair or makeup done first?? This would be more directed to girls who are having different people do each service. I can see pros and cons to both, but wondering why you decided the order you did. I am trying to figure out the times I want my appointments at. Thanks for your input!

I had my hair done at 10:00am and my makeup at noon. Our First Look pictures started at 2:00pm. Everything worked out perfectly, IMO. I had an hour between hair and makeup to get lunch and relax...then an hour between makeup and pictures to get dressed w/o feeling rushed.

I did my makeup first, then hair & all my girls went before me. Why? I dunno. It was rushed & we have very few pictures of me getting dressed because of it. So... allow plenty of time for yourself! I ate a mini plate of hummus & veggies in the limo on the way to the church - Taryn's hour of lunch & relaxation is the way to go.

<div>Oh no way, I had the EXACT same timing as you, and it worked out perfect! I managed to eat a little bit right after makeup because I almost passed out.</div>

I'm doing hair first - but we're getting up at the crack of dawn (ok 7 am) for hair appointments.

I am getting my hair done first then makeup. We are getting to the salon at 8:00 for the first person to be in the chair and makeup artist is coming in at 8:00 to get set up and start by about 8:30. The markeup person likes to have 30 minutes for each girl and an hour for the bride-just to be sure everything is perfect. The plan is to be out of there by like 12:00 or 12:30 so I can eat quickly and be at the church by 1:30.

Personally, I think it's easier to do make- up first.. I've always seen the professionals put the hair back, so they have a clean slate for the makeup.. If you do hair first, you have to pin your hair back around the face.. The last thing you need is mascara in your hair! I've seen it happen..
