Wedding Dress but which veil?

Okay this is my wedding dress! And now I'm having a hard time choosing a veil. I thought I wanted a cathedral length until I saw Catherine Middletons veil and loved it. So I showedmy MOH these two veils I found that I liked and she said with the drama of my dress I should choose a more subtle elegant veil. I have always loved cathedral length lace trim veils. And I thought I wanted a blusher... Now I'm completely confused. Anyone have suggestions or comments about either of these veils with my dress?

Personally, I'm not a fan of the lace edging with the blusher - I much prefer the lace by itself without any overlapping.

Because your dress has a little bit of bling and is pretty modern, maybe a lace-edged veil that also has some little crystals in it?
  • I actually think the dress looks better without a veil (or with a smaller veil). It's such an intricate, wow-factor dress that I don't think it needs anything else with it, IMHO.

  • Definitely don't do the lace edging with the blusher.  It looks really 80's.

If you want to go for the look Kate had, try an unadorned edge chapel length veil.

Your dress choice really would not go with a lace veil, what about a blusher?

  • Well personally I love lace veils with satin dresses, but now I am agreeing that with everything going on with my dress a more subtle veil with compliment it better. And I definitely do not think lace trim veils are 80's. I definitely want a cathedral length and I definitely want a blusher. My church insists shoulders are covered and I was told a veil is acceptable. So I think I might fo with a veil that has a raw edge, two tiers.
  • SO elegant and romantic! I love these pieces:  http://www.benefitbridal.com/C2501_Edward-Berger-Veils/page.aspx

I agree 100% with this. The dress is so grand, you don't need a long veil. A simple fingertip veil or no veil at all would look stunning.
