I am editing my post because it was hard to read...now...i made the tux appt first before picking colors, im bass ackwards. so now i went to make bridesmaid appt because i dont want my bridal dress appt yet because I again i am bass ackwards, and i have personal reasons. i want to pick my colors now...soooo i call the bridal place im going through...they give me hassle on phone about appointment...telling me i "need" to make bridal appt first...i said "no" i "want" the bridesmaid appt first. i told them im registered online already to look me up in the computer, they gave me attitude on phone "then" they informed me that this is busy bridal season and wanted to give me a "heads up" that i will be sharing consultants with another bride and her bridesmaids during my appointment and to "not" bring any extra people with me and maybe i shouldnt bring all of my bridal party in this time...(saying this in my head. not to them. HUH REALLY are you serious??)
I asked her about the colors and she said well we have swatches, I said swatches arent going to tell me if my BMs look pretty in those colors. Do you have at least a dress in the more popular colors so they can at least try on that color so I can get an idea of what they look like in that color? She said well yes. i said good because I have to get colors picked on Saturday because I have to give final colors to the tuxedo place. These werent exact words just getting general idea across. Then she was like maybe you shouldnt have done tux appt first. (didnt say this to her...i said this in my head OMG REALLY, i mean how could she say that to me, what gave her the right, I know I messed up but do I need to be reminded of it?)
DO they "really" want my money I don't have to buy my BM dresses there OR my gown. I wished I had thought to get her name because the more I think about it, it was horrible customer service. I would never say that to a potential customer. This is like their only store they have on this side of town where I live and there are "other" bridal stores, just this is "the main chain" like advertised EVERYWHERE.
Sooo I set the appointment spelt out each letter of my name which i always do because of the spelling of my name so its spelt correctly...not hard right? Get the confirmation email and my name is spelt wrong...nothing irks me more then being specific about something and its wrong...so I call back....18 minutes of being on hold...and I finally get someone and then they say "oh it doesnt matter, as long as you're registered correctly online, its no big deal the appointment is still set". I said i would love for it to be changed anyway she was like well it cant be changed now asked me if there was anything else and I was like no (whatever, said this in my head) so she said all bubbly that they would see me saturday morning. im half tempted to cancel it and go online and make the appointment through my registry or just not go there at all.
i know its nothing big, and i feel like im being a bridezilla but to ME (the customer) its something big, its MY NAME. i am in customer service, i have my own business and if i talked to one of my customers like that or treated one of my customers like that they wouldnt come back to me, even for something as simple as a name spelling, its the customers identity...so am i over-reacting? This is just for chit chat and advice purposes, i am not angry or pissed off, i did not yell or call back and complain to the manager or sales associate. I just was throwing something out there. I was calm cool and collected with her on the phone and will be when i go in here on saturday...
