On the topic of birthing crap, I am going to bring my own hospital gown.  I would prefer something more comfortable (and definitely more fashionable) than the one the hospital provides.

    It's nice that you can bring your own gown. I think that's a great idea!

    I like #3 for the gown and

    Phillies, it depends on the hospital.  Not all hospitals will let you bring your own stuff.  This is just another reason I really like our hospital.

    I don't normaly post here, but I work in L+D so I thought I'd give some advice Smile
    I've seen people bring in there own hospital gowns, almost everyone changes into their own clothing/PJ's after the delivery, but make sure the gowns you order have snaps/buttons on the shoulders, if not you wont be able to get it on or off with your IV.  I know you said you have a mid-wife, but this way you are prepaired, chances are you will get some fluids through an IV.  It might be a good idea to bring a few gowns too.  Hope this helps!

    Thanks for the advice, wagner.  This brand was actually recommended by my OB, so it is fully ready for an IV if I need one.  Plus our hospital does skin-to-skin, so the whole top can detach for him to be placed on my chest immediately after birth. 

    I tallied these results, and it looks like #1 wins for the gown.  I somewhat favored this one, so I was leaning towards buying it no matter the results.

    It says "A sweet new blossom of humanity."  Plus I gave her a bag and some matching shoes.  The red shoes and green shirt were not doing it for me.  I was between #2 and 3 for the gal.  I still might do #3 but with a different color dress.

    And please consider switching to Mama #3. The red dress is more sassy and stylish and thus more Mutley, IMO. :)
