Marshalls, if there is one near you. I always go to famous footwear or DSW and find the same exact shoes at Marshalls for 1/2 the price. Especially if it is a shoe wearhouse store

WW on McKnight Road? My sister got at least one of her prom dresses there.
Yeah I don't buy the excuse that people are too shy or whatever for everyone to be at their ceremony. The reception is just as much attention. I think people want gifts and feel bad admitting to that. I guess I don't get why it is bad to admit to wanting/anticipating gifts.
I love them too but we are going to look so stupid in short dresses and converse. Her FI talked her out of it but another BM talked her back into it again. So looks like I need to go buy a new pair.
H is in the wedding too so he needs to buy them as well.

I don't think I'd be doing this. I don't like them, I wouldn't wear them again so it would be a waste of money, and it would look stupid. That's a good example of when I think the bride should pay.
I'm firmly against dictating shoes (even if you're paying), but that's because I have stupid feet, and I hate the idea of suffering just for someone's vision.
You know what else is NMS that isn't really wedding related? Stuff with words on it. Shirts, stickers, art, whatever. I would rather die than have something like this in my house:
Actually it doesn't even have to be words. I don't like letters either. I'm not a fan of monograms on anything really.
Edie, my sister has a pair but they are green. I don't think anyone else I know has them. I have two pairs of old converse but the bride wants them black and white. I don't have those.
I actually kinda like the chucks idea. I wouldn't wear them for the ceremony, or require the BMs to wear them, but I would think about wearing them for the reception.

I know, crazy! And you will look beautiful at your wedding, even if your dress is NMS.
You can borrow my black and white gingham ones. She never specified SOLID black, did she? muah-ha-ha. Where should we meet for the handoff? Alabama's in the middle, I think

Good evening everyone! I was one of those lame-os that wore Chucks to my reception, but I didn't require anyone in the wedding party to do it with me. I was just glad my feet were comfy. Because of the problems and surgeries I've had with my foot I'm not supposed to wear heels, but I did anyways for the ceremony. My feet were definitely mad at me for putting them in heels, but the Chucks later made up for it.

That's what I'm asking Angel. Silver. My MOH found some at Payless already. I'm not paying.
