Where should I have my engagement shoot!

Hi knotties!

I'm hoping someone can help me out...my engagement photo session is scheduled in a month and I have no idea where this should take place, except somewhere in SE MI. Our wedding is in November and it is a vintage vegas showgirl glamour type theme. I'm open for any ideas though.

    Ann Arbor? Downtown Detroit? Eastern Market?

    I think it depends on what your personality is. "Vegas showgirl" makes me think Detroit (opera house, multiple theaters, etc) would be a good fit, perhaps??

    I just did mine at the DIA and Detroit Public Library.  Beautiful Marble walls, steps, cool street lamps, and there is even a community garden and orchard in case you want that "nature feel"

    For the DIA just be careful - if you try to take photos INSIDE the DIA they may charge you a fee!

    I had my photoshoot at Yates Cider Mill - it's a charming area with a little river and different backdrops.

    I'm sorry, I should have clarified.  My photos of the DIA were outside of it.  Yes, inside is frowned upon.  The outside of the building has big beautiful marble walls and really nice stairways.

    I had mine at Cranbrook garden. Not really a Vegas-like vibe, but it's a beautiful place. There is a small fee, but I'm not sure how much.
    There are lots of vintage-y places in Detroit that would be cool.
