How old is everyone and their FI/DH? And how old were you/will you be when you got/get married? How long have you been together?

I am 23 and FI will turn 23 on November 14, we are getting married on November 19. FI and I have been together over 3 years as of March 30.

We're both 26. We will have been together for exactly five years and 1 day when we get married later this month. I feel that we have been dating a long time as a Christian couple, but that had to do with long distance (more than half of our relationship).

We are both 30 and we've been married 8 years.

First date - April 1, 2000 (yes, April Fool's Day). We were 19.

Engaged - End of Oct or Beginning of Nov, 2001 - we can't agree! He was 21 and I was 20.

Married - Dec 14, 2002. He was 22 and I was 21 and 49 weeks. I turned 22 exactly 3 weeks after our wedding.

I knew this would come up sooner or later. Please don't judge me, make comments on it, etc. I've had it up to here with people in real life commenting, ranting, whatever. I come to TK because I don't have to tell people my age here. I figure you guys are safe, though, so I'll tell you.

I'm a baby. I'm 18. I'm finishing my junior year of university this week, and I haven't lived in my parents house since I was 14, almost 15. I'm just a little different

FI is 22.
We've been together for three and a half years.

1) I know every 18 year old on TK says this, but I get that a lot. My roommate just had a "Oh, right. You aren't 21" moment yesterday.

2) Definitely both. I've been ahead in school since I started in the 2nd grade, and I finished high school early because I hated it. I love academics, but hated the high school "I don't want to be here, this sucks!" attitude of everyone around me.

DH is 25 and I will be 29 on Friday. Tomorrow will mark a year and eight months that we've been a couple, but we've known each other for a few years longer than that. (Ten months dating, six and a half months engaged, three and a half months married.)

When we met I was 25 and FI was 24, back in November 2009, he proposed when I was 26 and FI was 25 in August 2010, and we will both be 26 when we get married this coming June! The last full day of our honeymoon will be my 27th birthday :-)

I will be turning 24 on may 8th and my FI is 22...he will be 23 in august. So when we get married i will be 24 and he will be 23.

I'm not necessarily ashamed. There's just a lot of negativity on TK towards teenagers and I'm getting enough of that negativity from people in my life (who don't really know me) that I really didn't want to get here also. Does that make sense?

I think the reason the teenager card is played a lot on TK is because there are quite a few younger brides out there who come to the boards and show great immaturity when they post. I don't believe that is the case with you - you seem to be quite mature, and fit well even with the "older" brides on this board.

ETA: All that being said, there are also a number of "older" brides who act like they're 12. So really, it's all about how you present yourself that gets respect around the boards.
