Vera Wang and David's Bridal team up

http://news.instyle.com/2010/04/20/vera-wang-davids-bridal-say-i-do/

The line won't start until September of next year! $1500 for a dress is still pretty expensive imo, but way less than a traditional Vera Wang. A girl can dream, right? lol :)

I like how designers are now becomming accessable to us normies in the world.  It makes all girls feel like they can have the dream purse/shoes/wedding dress they have always dreamed about.

IMO no one is going to know your dress is a prada or a thifty dress, so buy the dress you love, not the brand you want.  (this is comming from a girl who was willing to drop 800 on a dress but got one for 99 bucks!)

You are going to be amazing with whatever dress you buy!

    Aww thanks! :)

I agree, I like how these designers are becoming more accesible. Vera Wang is not only bringing a famous name though, her gowns are high quality as well!

Yeah, Vera figured this out a while ago when she got her collection in Kohl's.
I agree with you ladies, it cool that this is more accessible to those who are into labels, but unless you are wearing your dress inside out know one will know!

Bwinkopp - I am so jealous of your $99 dress. My budget is $1k and I found the dress of my dreams for $990 but I am still holding out hope on an off the rack version. T minus 30 days until I have to order it. LOL!

Its nice to know that Vara Wang will start a collection of wedding dresses that will be a little more affordable for some poeple , 1500 is still to much for my budget .

Buikopp where did you find a dress for 99 bucks??

I love collaborations like this.  I am always all over the designer collaborations at Target.  I am excited to see what the dresses will look like even though I will be already married by then!

I bought both my dresses at DB from the Galina line. My ceremony dress was only $99 too!

the $99 dresses are in the $199 rack.  They usually dont show them to you because the girls work on commission.  But if you ask they do.  I found my dress online and showed my sales girl and she didnt even hesitate to run me over to the $99 rack. (which was hard because I was trying on a dress with what I felt like was a 239457089347658 foot train.)

I don't know if they have them all the time, but they run that $99 sale every few months. I actually bought mine from DB online, $699 dress for $99. I had been in the store, tried on dresses and bought my tea length dress, so I knew what size I took.. Originally I was just going to wear  tea lenght dress for everything. I saw $99 gown that I really liked for ceremony. I figured what the heck., for $99 if I didn't like it, I would just give it away.
