I feel you on electronic cables and boxes of appliances you no longer own.  I don't know why I can't throw away boxes.  I feel like I might just need them someday.

We actually just have a plastic bin where we put all cords.  Sometimes, it's amazing what we can find in there.

we did re-box all the appliances that we have boxes for.  as for the cords -- i think we can let the cords for the vcr go.

and we have TWELVE earbuds/earphones/ocular listening devices, gathered from cell phones, blackberries, ipods, and probably a walkman/discman somewhere.  and i know one of them came attached to a bottle of shampoo.

We had miles of speaker wire. Seriously, like miles of it.

The worst part of moving and finding this stuff...DH is a packrat. I'm bagging it up to throw it out and he's whining worse than a crazy cat lady on Hoarders about how he'll NEED all of this one day.

Clearing out the guest room and reorganzing the office I found a dozen shoe boxes, gift boxes and tissue from the wedding, an extra iron and toaster we never exchanged.
