Long time no see (aka, I think I was hijacked!)

Hi Girlies! Long time no see, I know! I'm just not around anymore. BUT - I know some of my ladies are still around, and something happened this weekend that I just have to share with you guys.

My mom and I stopped by the Christmas Tree Shop (BTW Kobs - they had a bunch of mercury/mirrored vases/containers that totally made me think of you!) and what did I see in the photo album aisle?

Now am I crazy, or is this a TOTAL ripoff of my wedding invites? SAME damask, SAME font, SAME colors - creepy!

Designers "borrow" from each other all the time, I get that. My invites were inspired by a suite I saw at Vera Wang. But still... this is really a complete duplication... or am I nuts?

You ladies see anything you've done/made/created show up somewhere else before?

Wow, that is pretty much EXACTLY like yours.  I don't think you are off base on this at all - it's like the same thing!! The part that gets me is that everything is the same down to the font.

I've never really seen that before but maybe that's just because it hasn't happened to me.

No way!  Well, I guess they say imitation is the sincerest form of flattery...

Can you trace who made it?

Kobs - it was some generic company out in Bloomfield, IL. I can't remember the name. I'm not PO'ed enough to call them up and make a stink or anything - it's just really irritating and ironic that I can't land a dream job with a stationary company yet someone who already works there can rip off my design...

Weird.  That is annoying though.  OR it means it's just a matter of time!

Love the way you think Kobs ;) I was going to email you about those vases though! If you're in the Natick area stop by the Xmas Tree and check them out!

Oh, how weird--it's SOOOOO your design!  You must have had an invitation flashback right there in the store!

How annoying--we know how much time you put into your invites.  I'm not really one to talk bc I totally ripped off my invitations from other sources, but I am also not a company selling them--they are for my private use only.  That would definitely rub me the wrong way though.
Yay! Finally able to update my signature :)

Hey girls!! I know - I miss this board SO much. I just don't feel like I have much more to say about the whole wedding experience :) Especially since I have a crazy-wordy blog that's still up ;)

Fool - actually, that's not my album, ha! She just loved our wedding so much she made a promotion album of us! Looks WAY better than anything I have going on (seriously, I couldn't narrow down my choices to make a coffee table album, so I just got a large 300 sleeve album and put my top print choices in that...).

I just had dinner with evseidl, and joked that I should call up this company and be like "hey, instead of employing someone that is just going to steal my design, why don't you hire me?" *snarkity snark snark*
