I'll try to make this short
I had a friend, almost like a best friend. We meet about 4 years ago through her ex-boyfriend and got along right away. I was married to my XH at the time and the four of us would always be together. My XH and her boyfriend also became really good friends. It just so happened that I went through my divorce and she went through their breakup within a few months of eachother. So, that whole situation made us become even closer. We pretty much did everything together - worked out, went out downtown, shopped, had dinner together almost every night, etc.
When I meet FI, I will admit that I made the mistake of spending most of my time with him and kinda put her on the back burner. A few months into dating FI, I realized this and tried to fix the mistake but she is the type that holds a grudge and just wasn't letting it go. We had a huge blowout and haven't talked since early October. I had been thinking a lot lately about messaging her and saying sorry and seeing if we could just put it all behind us. Well, this afternoon, I got a message from her saying basically everything I would have said. I was a little freaked out, because I had just been thinking "I should message her today" this morning, and also super excited to hear from her.
I really hope that we can get our friendship back to where it was before all of that happened. We are gonna meet up tonight and catch up on things.
