Ours ended around 11 and we went straight back to our hotel room. We aren't big drinkers though so we really didn't want to go party at a bar or anything. My cousin just got married a few weeks ago and for that people did go back to the bar and hang out for a while after. I think it just depends what's in your circle. Plus logistically, depending on the situation. Like for my cousin we were all staying at the same hotel which had a bar, so we could all go there. Our wedding mostly had local guests so people just went back to their houses.

If our ceremony had gotten over early (ours didn't end til 11 and we didn't leave until almost midnight), I think we would have done something casual with our friends. I probably would've changed out of my dress and just gone to a local bar type restaurant. I know some of our friends did go out after the wedding and stayed out til the wee hours but we were just too exhausted.

I don't know that I agree with this. It wasn't that hard for us, and we didn't live together before we got married. We did date for a LOOOOONNNNGGGG time before getting married though, 9 years.

The hardest thing to work on I guess has been money, but even that hasn't been that hard to me. Also, I already lived in the house we live in now, andi had to get used to all his crap ending up here and where tout all of it.

I have a huge fear....i counted my days and i am apparently going to have a visit from wonderful mother nature within 2 or 3 days of the big day....I'm so paranoid....did any of you have the fear of an accidental leakage or anything that would show through your dress? I'm terrified...

Also did anyone do a dress change? I'm thinking about changing into a cute cocktail type dress for the reception so that I am not cooking all day...my wedding and reception are all being held outside

Lol!! We did do that... A home run derby towards my parents barn. I had my dress on still and my brother and guy friends found dads old farm jackets and we hit balls into the darkness. It was like 2 in the morning. Aw man that was so fun. I remember running in the house and grabbing my sweater and my dad just laughed at me. I'm pretty sure that was one of his proudest moments of the day

As for the banging on the honeymoon, due to previously mentioned damaged leg we hardly did it because we had to be WAY too creative and even the blanket resting on it hurt like fuuck so we just gave up lol.

After a day of finalizing everything and it getting a little bit stressful, it was so nice to come home and read this. Thanks ladies for all the great advice!
