Galveston Beach Permit?

Does anybody know if a permit is required to have a wedding on a Galveston Beach? I'm finding various answers on the web - one says it depends on the number of chairs we have. I don't think we're going to have seating since it will be a short ceremony. But does anybody know for sure?

    What part of the beach?  If you are getting married on a private beach, (ie: Bermuda beach, Pirate's Beach, etc.), as long as you are renting/own property there, you should be fine.  If you will be getting married on a public beach, then, yes, you will need a permit.
