Wow what a whirlwind of a weekend.
The wedding was magical, but a blur. I cannot believe it just happened and that I am married. I catch myself thinking "did that really happen?"
There were only 2 minor mishaps in an overall FLAWLESS day. The weather was simply magnificent, everything was a dream. I was so filled with emotion (note the ugly cry face photos posted all over facebook hehe) and am happy as can be. I love Serban more than ever, seeing my family enjoy themselves was beyond words. I am sad that everyone is leaving town today - I will miss everyone.
So many of my vendors came through for me and exceeded my already high expectations. I was really impressed. I am going to post my vendor reviews this week - just waiting for one small issue to be resolved.
But I have to say that my venue blew me away. Service, food, staff, everything was top notch. They knocked it out of the park for me - truly best decision I ever made.
My make up and hair was beyond perfect for me - Nikol rocked it.
The cake was amazing - it was huge, perfect and people said it was the best wedding cake they had ever tasted. We take the cake was suberb.
Karla saved the day more than once and she was worth her weight in gold. I am so grateful that I booked her.
A few tips from the flip side:
Sweetheart table is a must. I was pulled in 7,000 different directions that night - if it wasnt for the sweetheart table, Serban and I would have had no time with one another.
Uplighting was not a necessity and I would probably cut it if I had to do it all over again.
Get ready sooner than you think you need to. It WILL take longer than you expect. The last 30 minutes were like GO GO GO for me. I was freaking out and rushing and it could have been avoided.
Make sure the person who is supposed to bustle your dress doesn't get drunk before doing so LOL. I lost 25 minutes of bride and groom portraits b/c my bustle took so long to secure. That was really frustrating for me because we didnt get to take pictures in the gardens like planned.
Try to soak it all in as hard as that seems - it goes by so fast and it's truly a blur. I find myself trying to remember the ceremony, the vows, the dance, and it's like my memory was erased.
Dance! I had a blast dancing and partying. I am so glad we said hi to everyone during the salads so that we could really enjoy the rest of the night.
EAT and drink lots of water before you go. I nearly passed out at one point and had to leave the ballroom to cool off and just sit with my HUSBAND (aahhh!!!) outside

Thank you all for the kind words on facebook this weekend!
xoxo
