Wedding Woes

*Wzz*

Are you back to work yet?  Or do you have another week or two (or a few)?

I remember you saying you're going to be on a mid-shift.  That does suck.    Did you get daycare worked out?

Are you still working from home?

I'm in the office.  Working from home is slated to start June 18th.

I should be getting my official offer and instructions here soon.

LOL!  We can be the no-pants twins.

There are definitely aspects I am not looking forward to; like the lack of interaction or the ability to have a question answered right away.

But not having to commute, I'll be there for the kiddo so we no longer have daycare costs for him, I can take an hour lunch and go see the baby or take the kiddo to the pool (or take a nap), it will make pumping easier, and I could go on and on...

Not to mention the overall cost savings...It's a can't miss opportunity for my whole family.  I don't think I would have jumped at this if I was younger and/or didn't have kids,  there was no way I couldn't try for this.  It really works well for our family.

[QUOTE]also, even though i know i need daycare, i also know that if daycare falls through because they are closed for whatever reason, or i cant get out because of the weather, i know i can keep the kid with me in a pinch. not ideal, but it's not as bad as having to scramble and take a day off.

    This totally.

Also, I don't have to take off for snow days next school year or if the kiddo's sick, I can still work.  I'd probably take a sick day if the baby gets sick.

This is only a pilot program, so I could end up having to go back in the office when the 6 mo trial is over.  But I hope it sticks.

I do not have to take a paycut, thankfully.

Oh man, I wish I could work from home AND work 4 days/week.

That sucks that those bastards ruined it for you.

DH has a four 10's schedule.  He's off on Weds.  It's been great for us.  And he can work OT on Weds. if it's offered and he feels like it and it doesn't cut into our family time on the weekends.
