    Sara, I imagine that you live in a Williams-Sonoma store with Julia Child's ghost every time you talk about food.

    Thanks julez.  It's his fourth or fifth tour--he loves going, and is an engineer with a "desk job" as he calls it, but I'm still worried for him.  And it makes me sad for my friend who has to plan their entire wedding alone.  :(

    Roxy, I used to love frozen margies, but no more.  On the rocks is the only way to really enjoy them.  I don't for frozen drinks in general anymore.

    Winy wine wine.  Cabernet sauvignon to be exact.  After this I plan to have some beer. I'm in the mood to tie one on tonight. 

    My SIL is trying to convince me to go with her to a dive bar called Knight Tyme where there are copies of Penthouse on the tables and the patrons wear pajama pants. I will need to be drunk should this occur.

    smokey, courvosier is Leon Phelps' signature drink. you need to watch that movie. it is so bad it is awesome, but better when drunk and/or stoned. FI made me watch it the other night and I'm glad he did.

    I had a maragrita on the rocks once and I just flat out did not like it. I actuallly don't know that I've ever had a plain blended margarita before either though.

    Oh....the drink is equal parts cognac and cointreau so I am definitley not just swilling cognac in a brandy snifter. 

    I am cool and sophistcated.  Wait...hold on.....

    Oh and rocks is the only way to drink a margarita.  Must be Cadillac with top shelf tequila.  No jose cuervo, thank you.  Flavored margaritas are blech!

    I especially like margs made with lime juice from our little tree....ahhhhhh, goodness.

    Champagne.  No particular reason, we just had a bottle in the fridge and I decided I wanted to drink it. 

    Munching on some cheese and crackers too. Om nom nom!!

    This is the first time I ever made sangria, and I think it has been a success. My sister is sitting upstairs giggling through all the gory parts of the Return of the King, and I think I even got my mom drunk.

    I am ridiculously late to the party on this courtesy of all the error messages, but, I'm having champagne with a splash of cran raspberry juice.  Exciting, I know!  Definitely sounds like everyone here is having fun!

    I didn't look at the bottle before I used the rum, but it was Bacardi and I think it must have been spiced in some way. The sangria definitely had quite a spicy kick to it, in addition to all the citrus.

    Noodle and I used to buy a bottle of champagne (nothing expensive, Korbel or something) every week, and then on Saturday or Friday night we'd drink it and watch all of our TiVO'd shows on the couch.

    Then we got poor. :(
