So my cousin T texted me last night to say she got our invite, and stated

"It doesn't say anthing about kids but everyone keeps saying that they are not allowed is that true. We were stopping to get P & C (her neice and nephew) on our way down." (T lives in Indiana and P & C live in Alabama). 

I responded, "Yeah it is adults only"

I wonder how many times we will be asked this question.  It just wasn't possible to invite kids, off the top of my head it would have added another 30.  Besides it is an open bar and at a country club.  Oh well at least all of FI's family are happy about the kids not being invited.

    so so so frustrating!!! i'm sorry!!! i am PRAYING those discussions are done and over with for me!!!  FI's sisters were the only ones that complained and my older cousins have already had weddings without kids so I know my family is used to it.

    Yeah, I mentioned in a few months back at someone's b-day party and my one cousin had a cow "well I guess I'm not going!" Really you have one kid and have 6 months to find a babysitter. 

    The kids would be bored out of their minds and would then be running around crazy.  no thanks!

    ahhh! so annoying! in my family kids would be an extra 32-there is no way! they will be so bored-its just not a place for kids. i tell them that i purposely did NOT have a flower girl or ring bearer because of this!

    Ugh! So annoying!  Did you address the invite to just the parents? If so, they should be able to figure it out!

    Ugh so annoying!! I'm dreading this question from my family members. One aunt called me before invitations even went out and asked if her step kids were invited because she really wants them to meet the family (my aunt and step kids live out of state). Um my wedding is not the time for a meet & greet! I tried not to be mean but I would rather invite people I'm close too and want there than 3 kids I've never met before. I addressed her invitation specifically to her and her husband so hopefuly she won't question it but I have a feeling I'll be getting a phone call soon.
