Please help me come up with ideas for a small ceremony and celebration after??

So we want to get married but keep it really small since our budget is small. We would like to save money for a down payment on a home. Budget around 3,000 and would like to get married in Florida but are thinking of going against the traditional wedding thing and want something intimate and romantic with just our immediate family... Thoughts and ideas, please!!! Not sure where to start, when I google, I only find wedding venues - any other ideas?

I have a similar budget and I'm getting married at Matheson Hammock Park with a BBQ reception to follow. You could consider something like that. PM if you have questions.

I'm having a dinner reception at Chart House for under $5,000 (food, desert and one drink ticket for each guest) for 60 guests. They give you the complimentary ceremony site outside overlooking the bay. I won't be using the ceremony space since I'll be getting married in a Church. Check it out!

Oh, this doesn't include flowers, photog, cake and all that.

<strong>Jessica & Mark Andrew</strong> is that the Miami or Ft. Lauderdale location? We had dinner there a few months ago and the food is awesome. When we decided to have the small reception Chart house and Bimini Boatyard are in the running. Any information would be appreciated.

Sent you a private message but you can always do hot appetizers (Choose 4-5 that serves at least 7-8 pieces per person) and beer/wine open bar for a less expensive option. That cuts down your main entree and you still can have something really nice.

Regarding Matheson Hammock Park, what if it rains on your special day? Is there a backup plan there? Are there any pics anyone can share?
