I know Steph got married on a Sunday & she's comes back to this board every so often.  I can't think of anyone that's currently planning one at this time, but check back during the week.  This board tends to die down on the weekends, so you may not get many responses yet!  = )

I did! 11/7/10.  If you're doing a Sunday wedding, be considerate of your guests and do it earlier in the day.  We had a noon ceremony, 2pm 'reception."  Our wedding was pretty casual, too, which I think was fitting for a Sunday afternoon wedding. We didn't have a real dance or anything, but we stil made sure to serve a full meal and drinks.

Just be prepared to have to justify the Sunday decision ;) We had an easy reason- we fell in love with our venue and every Saturday was already booked.  I loved doing it on a Sunday. It gave our guests a chance to be in town Saturday, so we had a lot of fun at the rehersal dinner.  We also took the Wedding Party and some of our family to a Gopher Hockey game Friday night!  We figured, the people who had to travel from out of town would have needed to take off Friday, so they all just took off Monday instead.  No one seemed to mind. We got a few "really? SUNDAY?" comments at first, but everyone told us they loved the decision in the end. :)

I think Kari had a Sunday wedding too? And hers was more 'traditional' at night, etc. So she might have more tips on making a Sunday wedding work, too.

ETA: Guess it was Maybe! (And I added more info.ha)

My wedding was on a Sunday. Ours had all the bells and whistles of a regular Saturday wedding (I'm not sure why some people think Sunday weddings need to be more 'casual') but like Steph said, it's always good to shift things a bit earlier. We had our ceremony at like 2:30, served an early dinner, and most guests left by about 9 or 10pm (although some who had taken the next day off of work stayed until far later).

My wedding was Sunday, July 3rd.  We did a 6-midnight reception, granted all our guests had Monday off being it was the 4th of July.

Mine is this Sunday! We booked it because it saved us about $1000. Most of our guests are OOT and would have had to have taken off from work anyway. And our friends don't seem to mind, either.
