Stupid wide computer monitor

A friend of mine just asked for a picture of my dress, so I sent her the picture of me in the dress shop, and because I have a widescreen monitor, I look huge!

Arg. It's so annoying, FI just loooves his widescreen, and yet, what do I use my computer for the most? Pictures. They are all so stretched out now :(

    Hmmm... this seems odd.  Maybe he has the resolution set wrong?  The widescreen monitor should not stretch photos out.  Mine doesn't.  Of course, if the resolution is incorrect, then he's not really getting the larger work area which is usually the point of wider monitors. 

    Sorry, I know how much it sucks when photos stretch you out!

    I agree. The resolution is not properly set. Are you on Windows? Using the microsoft picture and fax viewer or something else? Apple OS should all be set automatically.

    Hmm I will have to get him to look into this for me. I just loved seeing a picture of myself in my dress and looking as wide as a house!
