Can anyone reccomend where my partner may be able to find a tailor in NYC or LI that could make her a womens suit for our upcoming wedding?

My partner just got a suit at My Suit NY (mysuitny.com). I think it was a really great option for a custom suit, although I will warn you that an ivory suit is much more expensive that other colors. They specialize in fitting men and one of the salesmen at the Herald Square store was pretty annoying about her being a woman. I almost asked for someone else, but then he seemed to calm down and my partner didn't mind as much as I did so we stayed. But I would recommend going to a different store to avoid that guy.
