I just found this registry checklist on Martha Stewart Weddings.com, and I think it's really helpful at identifying the basics. Whether you want/need them all is a separate issue, but at least this way you won't forget anything. Here's the link -

I also like the Real Simple Weddings magazine, which lists basics, as well as seasonal and more unique things some folks may want.

On TK, I think it means "speaking of"... not to be confused with "significant other".
