VENDORS IN CT WHERE WE CAN BRING IN OWN CATERER

Hi Everyone,

We have been looking for venues in CT where we can bring in our own caterer without being forced to use the ones provided by the venue. Is anyone familiar w/ locations (other than a Knights of Columbus, VFW) where we could bring in our own food?

We had our wedding at The Lounsbury House in Ridgefield. They have a long list of caterers that they give you, but it was explained to me that those are just vendors that are familiar with the mansion and have catered there before. If you want to bring in someone new (which we were originally going to do), the caterer just has to do a walk through with the event manager there so that they're familiar with the facility and kitchen. They also must be licensed and insured (not only for your safety but also because it's a historical building).

I looked into the same thing. In the Hartford area, there are only a few. Farmington Club, Aqua Turf, The Society Room in Hartford, and Manelly's in I think South Windsor. We are having our reception @ the Farmington Club...

I found a cool place called the lace factory, its a little rustic but cool and I think you can bring in your own catering, my friend told me about it as I just started looking.!
