Wedding Vows & Ceremony Discussions

incorporating a step parent

hello everyone!

i am stressing out about my ceremony.  i grew up with my step dad and i am very close with him, but i'm also close with my dad and i'm not sure what to do with the ceremony.

i'd love if i could have 2 weddings and have each of them walk me down the isle lol but that's not going to happen.

any ideas on how i can incorporate my step dad in on the ceremony?

thanks!

Re: incorporating a step parent

  • they can both walk to you down the aisle if they have both been a major part of your life. Or I have heard of the dad walking the brinde halfway down the aisle then the step dad walking down the second half.
  • If you do the half and half thing I would have your stepdad walk you first, then your dad give you away.
    I'm married!
  • I am just having mine do a reading during the ceremony, but I am also not having my dad walk me down the aisle.  I am walking my self down the aisle.  Whatever works for you!
