middle eastern catering recommendations?

hi all --

i live on the east coast, but am getting married in portland next year, and am traveling out in a few months to pick a caterer. my fiance and i would love to hire a middle eastern restaurant to cater, but since neither of us actually live in portland, and we'll only have about a day to figure it out, i thought i'd turn to all of you for help!

our venue is outdoors, with no kitchen, for what it's worth.

has anyone here either used a middle eastern caterer that they loved, OR have any recommendations for delicious restaurants we should try?? i have nicholas, alexandrya, and habibi currently on my list of possibilities (just from yelp).

I was going to reccommend Habibi and Nicholas' before I got to the end of your post. I love those places so much. The owner of Habibi, Mazen, is a ridiculously nice guy, too.

There is a great middle eastern food cart at the good food here carts on Belmont. The name is escaping me, but we have used them many times for my work. Very reasonable prices. I'll look them up and get back to you.

I am not from Portland but have eaten at Nicholas, very good food, don't know if they cater though

Check out Ya Hala! I've been to the restaurant on SE Stark and it is so good and reasonably priced - not sure about catering, but it's worth checking out!
