We've been together longer than my friend and her FI, so I don't understand why my BF hasn't asked me yet. I mean, I have the dress picked out, and the BM dresses, and the date. I mean, WHAT IS HE WAITING FOR???
One I actually just heard recently, one of my friends actually said it,
"We do everything ass backwards!"
As if that excuses the BSCness of her picking her centerpieces, looking at dresses, deciding on venues...before her BF even proposed. When she said that, I just had to slowly back away...
Running buddies are forevah.
Completed 2012 Races: Cupid's Chase 5k Feb. 11th: 26:20, Donovan's Run 5k March 10th: 25:00, Statesman Cap 10k March 25th: 57:19
Upcoming: Komen Race for the Cure 10k May 12th (SA)
I know BF has not proposed yet but I know he will. Plus is I don't book my venue now there is no way to ensure that it will still be available on the date I chose.
Things book up fast and I want to get married on X date so I need to book now.

Omigosh, yes. The boyfriend and I actually ARE saving ourselves for marriage, but we're for sure not gonna use that as an excuse to get married. haha
My personal favorite:
Well, we're gonna last forever because we've never had a fight the whole three months we've been together, and that means we're perfect!

I don't have a problem with the people who think they can plan their wedding while still in college (I'm planning mine while still in grad school)...I have a problem with the people that think that's going to be easy. They're just setting themselves up for failure. At least I figured out how friggin difficult it was going to be beforehand and prepped myself for that.

Grad school's a whole 'nother animal, but I definitely would have had more time to plan a wedding when I was in college compared to working full time. I wasn't remotely ready to get married, and even still, had no prospects for a groom, but simply from a time perspective - it would have been easier for me.
Now, if you're in school AND working AND trying to plan a wedding, that makes life a lot more difficult! But at least in college, I would have been able to study in the evenings and do some of my planning during times when my vendors would have been in their offices, whereas now I'll probably be doing everything via email at night after work.
