Vendor Reviews

My wedding was on October 10th, 2009 so I know this is a little late but man did it go by fast!!!  So, for all you ladies planning spring time weddings, here are my reviews, hope it helps!!

Venue: Holiday Inn Harbourside Hotel, Indian Rocks Beach, FL
B-
The reason I gave them a B- is because although the actual hotel and surroundings were absolutely beautiful I felt like they misrepresented themselves.  When I first went there to see it they really emphasized and advertised themselves as "the" place to get married and I thought they specialized in it.  My "coordinator" did answer the phone and email every time I needed something but the day of she was nowhere to be found!  Thank God I had put a friend of mine in charge of everything because it was pretty much like ok, you paid us your money now have at it.  There really was no direction or help we were pretty much on our own.  And, we had MAJOR problems checking in and out of hotel.  Front desk is very rude and could care less that you just spent thousands of dollars to have a wedding there.

These guys were so on time and had everything together!  My wedding was at 10am so needless to say everyone had to be up at the break of dawn to get ready.  I needed music in the ceremony spot and the reception room and they pulled it off flawlessly.  I was very very specific about my music and even asked them to make changes to certain songs and they did everything to accommodate me.  The best part about them was they knew when to play what songs and really knew how to get people up and moving!  They had an awesome light system too so I really felt like they transformed the whole room!  And they were really affordable!  www.myodysseyproductions.com  727-773-6022

Eric has a rare talent!!!  Its not just about aiming and shooting.  He really gets in there and tells a story with his pictures.  It was 105 degrees the day I got married and he made sure to get all the great pictures we wanted but without making us stand in the heat to long.  He showed up at 8 in the morning to catch pics of me getting ready and even stayed after the reception was over to catch some laid back pics of my whole family and the after party!  This guy is awesome and makes everyone feel so comfortable and most importantly my pictures are absolutely amazing!!

Flowers: Margie's Flowers and Gifts, Palm Harbor, FL

This family run business was an absolute breeze to work with!  I wasn't sure what I wanted exactly and I explained the best I could of the picture I had in my head and left the rest to them.  It was as if they could read my mind!!  They were so nice and so accomodating, they met me where ever I was and when ever it was convenient for me!  They gave me samples to take home and I have to say the flowers were my favorite part of the whole day!  http://www.margesfloristandgifts.com/

Thats it!  Of course there were more than just those people that I dealt with but to be honest they are the only ones worth mentioning!  I had the most perfect day ever and I would do it all over again in a heartbeat!!!

Thank you for posting that information.  I am newly engaged and just getting started with my planning.  Holiday Inn Harbourside is one of the places I was looking into.  Now I'm a little leary!  Not sure if I should go that route or rent a hall and do it all ourselves.

    Thanks for the reviews.
