It's such an exicitng time for you both!!

As for my squee - I'm still excited over my dress and all our wedding stuff done till July and we got Blizzcon tickets last night yay!! ( That won't make sense/matter to most people but we're happy)

Kat - whoo hooo!! Good for FI's new job!!

Narwhal - Awesome! Sentimental AND unique. Very cool.

Squee - I'm not sure this is a squee but it's worth mentioning. Remember how I said bf would say something like "My insurance has great maternity coverage" and that would be our discussion about reproducing? Somehow on this trip he's just about convinced me we should have a kid (after we get married of course). Wtf happened? How did I get talked in to this? The man is GOOD.

FI comes home today after being gone since last Saturday. That is the longest we've been apart since we have been living together (december of 07).

Yes, he's getting based out of DC. I am not moving. He's looking at rooms to rent in that area. It's not so much of a Squee as it is, that isn't what we wanted at all.

Yes, he'll be at Dulles. he needs to be able to get to the airport in 1 hour if he's on call. He found a place on Craigslist, as soon as I get more info I will PM you with it. And I will be picking your brain in the near future.

Well I am a little late to all the fun (darn you west cost time) but yay Narwhal thats exciting!

Squee worthy for me, well BF told his grandmother last night his plans for his proposal and our wedding, I don't know what he said but he likes to drive me crazy by mentioning it in passing with no further details. I don't ask anymore, its futile.

In the world of academia I finally got this new genetics program to work! Which is super exciting becuase the whole program runs in computer code and well...my computer code knowledge is null. the only down side is the data is so big it crashed on of the computers...oops

Squeeeees all around!! Such an exciting time. Love the ring, love the color and love the baby news!

Especially love the Hawks doing well (aside from losing last night). At least now they have a shot of winning it at home!

btw, I'm not a HUGE hockey fan, but have been to a few games here in Chicago. But I am a HUGE cubs fan! :-) FI and I went to 16 games last summer!

Squee for me? Save the Dates went out yesterday! I got really nervous putting them in the mailman's hands! Anyway, this wedding is officially happening! Bridesmaids are coming into town next weekend to pick out dresses!

Congrats ladies... lots of good things going on!

Narwhal that is sooo exciting you guys picked a ring! My mom had a pear shaped diamond... I have it actually in my jewelry box with all her other jewelry. It's yellow gold which I don't like but I've thought about using it for a neclace or something one day.

Squee's for me...

BF graduated fire academy and immediately is in hyper prep mode working on the house and getting it ready for my son and I to move in. We went last week and got tons of stuff at Home Depot for inside and outside. It's sooo cute watching him work hard to make the house look nice and to make room for "our family in our house"... swooooon!!

The office is wood paneling... while we don't love (or even like it) we are leaving it be for now.

The family room is green similar to this... but a tad lighter. Its a room that has two complete walls of windows so its really bright and looks great evne thought its bright and kind of bold!

The master bedroom is gray (3 walls) and navy (1wall)... its dark and I love it because I prefer to sleep in a dark room!

We got lots of stuff for the outside flower beds and are working on the back patio too... gonna be a couple of busy months getting everything done and moved, but will be worth it!

Ohh! Dwest I like your colors also. Your kitchen is similar to our new bedroom, and your son's room is close to what our LR will be painted. Everybody is painting these days!

Thanks for the compliments on the colors... we were in complete aggreement on all of them no compromising at all which was nice. And we gave the little guy 5 pre-approved shades of blue that match his bedding and let him pick the one he wanted. Hoepfully we will love them all once they are up on the walls!

Also, Kat I completely missed that your FI got a new job... congrats that's awesome! Lots of changes for you guys right now!

My squeee moments: I am defending and turning in my master's thesis TONIGHT! I've been working on it for a year. And, we just found out we got our new house! We close July 2.
