WPBP of the day

What is the worst jetlag you've ever had?

I know someone said that they judge diet soda drinkers, but if you had to drink diet soda for the rest of your life, what soda would it be?

Something that I always have in my freezer:

Something that I buy the generic brand of:

Do you know how to surf?

  • What is the worst jetlag you've ever had? This one is pretty bad. I'm looking at my computer clock and it says that it's 8 AM my time back home....and I'm in pjs ready to go to dreamland!
I know someone said that they judge diet soda drinkers, but if you had to drink diet soda for the rest of your life, what soda would it be? Diet Dr. Pepper.....but oh how I love regular soda!
Something that I always have in my freezer: Ice cream and girl scout cookies.
Something that I buy the generic brand of: Vitamins, pasta, cheese, ice cream
Do you know how to surf? Yes, although I am scared to get on big waves.

  • What is the worst jetlag you've ever had? Flying to England in '06.  It was two days before I got sorted out, and even then, I was still messed up for the rest of the first week.

I know someone said that they judge diet soda drinkers, but if you had to drink diet soda for the rest of your life, what soda would it be? Oh God, I can't drink soda.  I never have.  I hate the feel of carbonated liquid on my tongue.  If I had to drink a diet soda, it would be diet orange.

Something that I always have in my freezer: Freezer pops!  Guilty pleasure.  Except they're not fatty at all, so I don't feel that guilty.

Something that I buy the generic brand of: Most foods, honestly.

Do you know how to surf? Nope!

  • What is the worst jetlag you've ever had?
Never really had one. Though I did fly back from Ecuador with a hangover (first one ever too). That sucked pretty bad.

I know someone said that they judge diet soda drinkers, but if you had to drink diet soda for the rest of your life, what soda would it be?
I've only ever had diet Coke. I'm willing to try Diet Dr. Pepper or Pibb if they make it. My dentist lectured me on not drinking regular soda because the enamel on my teeth is wearing out (I grind a lot), and he said diet should be the only soda I drink, if any.
Something that I always have in my freezer:
Ice. Other than that, you never know what you'll find in there.
Something that I buy the generic brand of:
Ice cream, shaving cream, dishwashing soap, paper towels

Do you know how to surf?
No, and I have no desire to learn. The ocean scares me.
  • Are you really doing WPBP from Australia?  Shouldn't you be out petting a a kangaroo or playing a digeridoo (sp?).
What is the worst jetlag you've ever had?
Tokyo --> San Francisco.  18 hour time difference.  I don't think I had a normal sleep pattern for 3 weeks.
I know someone said that they judge diet soda drinkers, but if you had to drink diet soda for the rest of your life, what soda would it be? I already live off Diet Coke.
Something that I always have in my freezer: Frozen berries.
Something that I buy the generic brand of: Pretty much everything.
Do you know how to surf? No but now that I'm moving to San Diego I guess I'll have to learn!

  • What is the worst jetlag you've ever had?
Sydney to California. FI and I were on the wing and turns out that while the wing gives a nice smooth ride on domestic flights, the engines are super loud on the big international planes.  We barely snoozed if at all.

I know someone said that they judge diet soda drinkers, but if you had to drink diet soda for the rest of your life, what soda would it be?
    Yuck ...water please?

Something that I always have in my freezer:
    Ice

Something that I buy the generic brand of:
    Soft pretzels

Do you know how to surf?
    Nope
  • Jetlag? I've never been far enough away to get jetlag.

    Diet Soda? Diet Coke

Always in the freezer? Some frozen meat and veggies. I try to buy all at once and space out the meals.

Generic? What do I not buy the generic of?

Surf? Yes but not well. I've only been in SC. The waves aren't exactly surfable here.

  • What is the worst jetlag you've ever had?Flying to Germany in '00 for an exchange trip. It was the first time I left the country and 10 hour flight. I slept for 14 hours once I got there and tried to stay up to call my parents.

I know someone said that they judge diet soda drinkers, but if you had to drink diet soda for the rest of your life, what soda would it be?Diet Dr. Pepper (but let the record show that I HATE diet soda, it tastes weird.

Something that I always have in my freezer:FIsh fillets. Parmasean crusted.

Something that I buy the generic brand of:allergy medicine.

Do you know how to surf?nope

  • What is the worst jetlag you've ever had?
When I went to France. I was tired for 2 days.
I know someone said that they judge diet soda drinkers, but if you had to drink diet soda for the rest of your life, what soda would it be? Zevia Ginger Ale. Its sweetened with stevia instead of an artificial sweetner. That artificial stuff makes me feel like crap now that I've given it up for so long.
Something that I always have in my freezer:
flour- I keep it there to keep the bugs out of it. Oh, and mixed veggies for soups
Something that I buy the generic brand of:
All paper products, face wash, milk, crackers, jelly beans
Do you know how to surf? Nope. Never tried.

  • What is the worst jetlag you've ever had?
I've only ever been to HI or East Coast- both of which were 3 hours off Pacific time.  It wasn't too bad, but that 3 hours can throw you off some.

I know someone said that they judge diet soda drinkers, but if you had to drink diet soda for the rest of your life, what soda would it be?
I can't drink diet. It makes me sick.  BF said last night he needs to lose weight, I told him lay off the diet coke.  But I know he wont. His family is addicted

Something that I always have in my freezer:
BF family ranches. We have freezerS full of beef.  I always have frozen corn though, love it!

Something that I buy the generic brand of:
I have quite a few Kirkland brand things from Costco.  I don't buy much generic anymore.

Do you know how to surf?
Never have.  And yes, I grew up 30 miles from the ocean.

  • What is the worst jetlag you've ever had?  not really jetlag, but the most sick I got was my connection from Cleveland to Richmond.  I couldn't even swollow the motrin to help with my migraine.  Pressure changes kill me.

I know someone said that they judge diet soda drinkers, but if you had to drink diet soda for the rest of your life, what soda would it be? probably diet orange.

Something that I always have in my freezer: ice cream!  It was on sale again, so I think I have 6 containers in there now.

Something that I buy the generic brand of: everything EXCEPT the T's: tissues, toilet paper, tampons, toothpaste.

Do you know how to surf? no.  I would try, but it'd probably scare me.  I should stick with kayaking and swimming in the ocean.

We had cows when I was growing up, and used to have at least a half a cow in the freezer at any given time (we split with my uncle). I have never found beef that tastes that good at a store, even the organic grass fed, free range stuff. Of course, now I have a hard time picking out steaks at the grocery, because I am used to them all being in brown butcher paper marked with "Steak". We'd just go pull them out of the freezer!

What is the worst jetlag you've ever had?
I've been fortunate enough to not have experienced it.

I know someone said that they judge diet soda drinkers, but if you had to drink diet soda for the rest of your life, what soda would it be?
It would be Diet Coke.  That's pretty standard.

    Frozen veggies

    Frozen veggies

Do you know how to surf?
No, but I'd love to try it.  But, I have an unnatural fear of the continental shelf. So, it's something that will probably never happen.

I love it!  It saves money especially with ground beef. It tastes so much better and is much more lean. I rarely have to drain the fat.

  • My sister in CA gets all of her beef, pork, and chicken through a co-op with a local farm. They buy a lot every few months and always have something in the freezer. She said that's the closest she has come to having stuff taste like home. I am actively looking for an arrangement like that in Austin, but most of the CSAs are just for vegetables and fruits.

What is the worst jetlag you've ever had?  When I went to Europe. It was the first time I ever flew, and I didn't know that I get sick on airplanes. Between that and the time change, it was like 4 full days before I felt "right" again.

I know someone said that they judge diet soda drinkers, but if you had to drink diet soda for the rest of your life, what soda would it be? I normally drink Seltzer anyway. Which is better for you than diet. I hate diet so much.

Something that I always have in my freezer: Edamame

Something that I buy the generic brand of: I'm a snob, I pretty much don't buy generic anything, lol.

ETA: I don't know why I just thought of this, but we actually do buy generic Rocky Road ice cream from our one grocery store. It's cheaper, but actually tastes way better than any other Rocky Road I've ever had.

Do you know how to surf? No, but I love the beach!

  • What is the worst jetlag you've ever had?: Sadly it was only going back one time zone.  We flew from Florida to Wisconsin.  It was a really early flight and by the time we got there, I was just so tired that I slept for the rest of the day.  We wasted a whole day of vacation from jetlag.

I know someone said that they judge diet soda drinkers, but if you had to drink diet soda for the rest of your life, what soda would it be?: Diet coke

Something that I always have in my freezer: Frozen chicken

Something that I buy the generic brand of: Ketchup

Do you know how to surf?: I would love to learn
