Tragedy whoring: DD1's little friend broke her arm last night

A couple of the boys on Son's team have siblings close in age with DD1, so the 3 of them all run round and play together (near us, where we can see them).

Last night this little girl was sitting on a post 2ft tall. She brought her legs up and accidentally fell off the post. But she landed with her arm under her.

She screamed and I saw her grabbing her arm. We all rushed to her and I saw the arm FLOPPING. I had to hide my tears from DD1 (and the other parents) so I could calm her down. She was pretty upset to see her friend hurt.

The mom updated on FB that the girl fractured her humerus and had surgery last night.

I want to get her a little gift and let DD1 give it to her. I feel so bad for her.

Awww, poor kid. A little girl in my old mom's group broke her leg. The pics of her in her little pink cast are super cute, but it's so pathetic.

Ugh, this is almost exactly how DD broke her arm last summer. Poor friend. If it makes you feel any better, kids that age adjust FAST, and heal almost as fast.
