Is this weird/common?

Ok ladies I just needed to ask because I wasn't sure how I felt about this..

FI's cousin is getting married in July (obviously before us lol) and we got our invitation yesterday. It was addressed to Mr. & Mrs. FI's name!!

I have addressed this cousin's invite and it is Mr. Grooms name and Miss Bride's Name. I guess even though both FI's cousin and his fiancee, and FI and I have been together for years, I still thought it should be addressed to them/us separately since neither couple has gotten married yet?

Our close friends sometimes jokingly call us Mr & Mrs (they say, "oops I forgot you guys aren't married yet since you act like a hubby and wifey already, sorry" lol)..

I just felt a little weird getting the invite since FI and I aren't married. I was just curious if you ladies would feel weird too or if this is a common thing?

I'm obviously not going to mention it to FI's cousin or anything, it isn't a huge deal, it just caught me off guard...

One of my bridesmaids addressed our Christmas card last year to Mr and Mrs Groom's name. It took me off guard but I took it more as a compliment.

Our friends are getting married soon and we addressed it to Mr His Name and Ms Her Name. On their place card it will say Mr and Mrs His Name. We live in the moment. Maybe they didn't think it through. A little odd.

Perhaps they just made a mistake because you will be getting married so soon. On my guest list, I have two of my friends listed as Mr. and Mrs. Lastname because they are getting married in June. So, they will be married by our wedding and by the time our invitations go out. However, I forgot I had them listed this way, so when my sister sent out shower invitations to the people on the list that I gave her, she knowingly used my friend's married name. So, it is a bit strange, but I'd just chalk it up to being a mistake and not think too much of it.

For my birthday a few months ago my great aunt sent a card addressed to Mrs. MyFirstName FI's LastName. I didn't care but my mom was really mad. Sometimes at the pediatrician's office the staff will call me Mrs. FI's LastName since our daughter has his last name and I have never corrected them. Technically I don't think they should address you with his last name until after you are married but I have never minded when it was done to me. I actually kind of like it.

I had a few wedding invites sent to FI's cousins like this. One is getting married in June, so I used their married name, despite them not being married when they receive it. One is getting married in October, so I used both their names.
FI's Grandma sent us a Christmas card that had Mr. and Mrs. FI and Libby FI's Last Name. I thought it was sweet, although she forgot that FI had a new address and accidentally sent it to his ex-wife's home. She very graciously forwarded it to us.

actually, i would be annoyed too. but we did something similar to our guest. My Fi's cousin is almost done getting her PhD and we went ahead and addressed her as doctor... I guess we felt that we didn't want to insult just in case she became a doctor by the time they got the invite?

Its a little odd.Because they don't even know if youa re going to take his last name and also because youa ren't married yet..but they either didn't think it throuhg- or thought it would be exciting to you.

We just got an invite addressed to "the Future Mr and Mrs ZYX"

I had a friend do this last year, I had just gotten engaged and she addressed it to Mr. And soon to be Mrs. Last name... I thought it was cute didn't mind it at all
