  First of all, GOOD LUCK getting responses back :-) I ended up having my MIL call a ton of people, because even though the card clearly asks for a response, a lot of people had the attitude that "oh they know I'm coming, I don't need to respond". But this isnt the typical Mexican wedding where people can bring their family plus whoever else they want....we're paying by the head, and thats expensive. Of the responses I did get back, a lot of them had put some ridiculous number like 8 or 10 when I had invited 2 people. Yea. It was a nightmare.
  
  I would reccomend not leaving the "numero de personas" line open. Or have something similar to the poster above me by saying "this is how many seats you have available" so they know they can't bring their 2nd cousin and his mother with them ;-)
