Any reviews on Seasonmall.com?????

I found my DREAM dress, but it was about $200 out of my budget, so I did some online shopping and came across the exact same dress on Seasonmall.com for less than HALF of the price in David's Bridal...

I'm 50/50 on this because, I dont know if the quality will be poorer, or if I'll have a malfunction the day of the wedding...Im really nervous...

THEN, pretty much everything in America is made in China anyway, right???

Have any of you ladies ever ordered from them, good or bad?

I wouldn't do it.  THere are a lot of horror stories of girls buying knock off dresses from China at rock bottom prices over on the attire board.  There is a sticky about it here:

My 2 general rules of thumb: 1) You get what you pay for, and 2) If something seems too good to be true, it usually is.

My feeling on this is - if you can't afford the full price gown from the designer, how are you really going to afford it after you've lost a few hundred dollars trying to get it for cheap from China and ending up with a dress you can't wear?  Part of the horror of a lot of these stories is that girls can't get refunds.

There are some legitimate online retailers that do sell designer gowns for less, except they can't sell dresses from David's or Maggie Sottero.

    Good luck with the decision!

i would highly recommend staying AWAY from websites like that.  have you tried preownedweddingdress or whatever it's called, there are a couple sites with similar names that i think would be better.

s there anyway possible you can think of to get that $200?  because in the grand scheme of things, it's really not that much money.  do you have a b-day coming up?  maybe you can ask for the extra money as a bday gift.

or maybe you'll get lucky and David's will have a sale on that dress in the next month or so (i wouldn't wait much longer than that since you'll likely have to alter it).

or maybe you can find a dress that's less expensive but similar in style.  i hate to see girls fall in love with dresses they can't afford because then nothing else is good enough when compared to the dress you can't have.  that's why i get so angry at consultants that pull dresses over the bride's budget.  my consultant didn't even ask what my budget was and that kind of irked me  /rant

    good luck!
  • Try asking David's Bridal if they can sell you the sample dress at a lower cost?

Warning No formatter is installed for the format bbhtml
  • Don;t do it!! No one else is authorized to sell david's Dresses Davinci copies a lot of David's dresses and sells them for a little less so you may try his website.. www.davincibridal.com

David's has a good layaway plan maybe you can try that?  Or try preowned wedding dress..

  • Do not order your dress from a knock-off site.  A friend of mine ordered her first dress from one of those places, changed her mind, and they refused to give her the money back...and this was before they even shipped out the dress!  I would consider some of the following alternatives:

    1. Like PP said, try Davinci.  They sell DB look-alikes for a smaller price.
    2. Try one of the pre-owned wedding dress sites...sometimes you can find brand new gowns for less than retail.  Three sites that come to mind are preownedweddingdresses.com, oncewed.com, and recycledbride.com.
    3. Check out gowns offered by the designers carried at Pearl's Place (pearlsplace.com).  This is a brick and mortar bridal shop located in the United States that allows you to order over the phone...at great discounts.  My dress retailed at about $1000, which was more than I wanted to spend; another shop quote me $850, but I still felt like that was too much.  Pearl's quoted me $590, plus $25 to ship in to my house.  My dress is REAL, not some crappy knockoff.
    4. I believe David's Bridal usually has one of their sales in January, so hold off for a few weeks and see if your dream dress goes on sale.

    HTH!
  • Thank you ladies SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO much...

I live in DC but a David's Bridal in NY has the dress and I can do my layaway plan over the phone/fax....so I just put my down payment on it...and it should be to be by the end of FEB.  Im so excited now!!!!

  • I ordered from them and was so pleased! To spend all that money on a dress you will wear for one day is ridiculous! Mine was 189. I gave them my measurement's and it fit like a glove! Wish I could upload a pic! I was very pleased!
