  • What is your budget? That would help people give ideas.

I'm also a SI bride. We are getting married at the Westmount Country Club. It's gorgeous, but kind of pricey for a Saturday night, but decent prices on Fri or Sun. We looked at the Royal Manor, which is close to the Venetian, and it was pretty cheap. The royal manor wasn't for us, but if you're looking for something that's decent and not pricey, check it out. Hope this helps!
  • If you tell us your budget and how many people you're having we can help you better.

  • trying to keep it under $100 per head... $120 max, we are having over 400 guests. (we both have HUGE families). i need something crystal-ly (not a word, lol)...

but any input would be great, Dont think the Royal Manor is for us... anyone have a list of pricing-save me some time!

    thanks dolls!!
  • Have you looked at Seasons?  Same owners as Venetian and much lower price.  The ballroom is stunning, they're well known for their cocktail hour/food, and they were extremely willing to negotiate.  PM me if you want any info.

  • What about the Manor in West Orange?

  • I'd simply cut down your guest list. I can't imagine you have 400 family members total... unless your grandparents were each 1 of like 9 kids and then each had 9 kids of their own, and you have 8 siblings, you both being the youngest, with each of your 8 siblings having 8 kids of their own, and you aunts and uncles each having 9 kids...
  • Check out the Wilshire Grand in West Orange.  They are within your price range and their room holds more than what you need.

  • Thanks guys!

@bereasonable.. believe me. our families are HUGE.. ive got six aunts and uncles on both sides.. and so does he. Im guessing my ancestors didnt have TV.. lol

Im going to set out a date and check out all these places. hopefully on a Saturday or Sunday...

You may want to check Old Tappan Manor as well. They were reasonably priced and their ballroom is gorgeous.
  • Thank you!! you guys are all helpful.. i really dont know ANY halls in NJ.. thanks again!!

  • I would also look at Addison Park - it's basically right over the Outerbridge and it's beautiful. My high school does its senior prom there, so I've had the food ... it was very good, even for a prom of about 500 people.

    140 invited -- 118 are ready to party! -- 27 can't make it

  • Brownstone
Addison Park - although this might be a little out of your price range too
Season's for a Friday night in September wanted $150/pp (which included the VH)

  • I just started with the list on TK and emailed each place that sounded interesting asking how much for X people on a Saturday in X month.  Then compiled a list of those who were in my price point and made appointments to visit.

  • The Grove ....Il Villagio.....Il Tulipano.....I don't know how much they charge pp though :\  They are beautiful though, especially The Grove! The Manor is very reasonably priced.

The Grove is definitely out of the budget. They quoted me $169 pp w/o tax/gratuity for Sept 2013 Fri/Sun
