Can anyone tell me how much the Young Pinstripes cost for a sceond line? any suggestions for bands (on a budget)?

Th lowest I've seen on the boards is I think 450, I'm sure somone here remembers the band name. Do keep in mind the permit and police escort will run you 350 so budget for that as well.

I have been trying to get ahold of that band from their facebook page and have not heard an answer. I have looked into 8 different bands and the lowest quote i got was 750... I;d love to know who the 450 band is!!

I think second lines can run you anywhere between $1,000 to $2,000 depending on the band, hankies, umbrellas, and escorts.
We spent about:
$650 on Lagniappe Brass Band
$300 on hankies at Back yard printing
$100 on 2 unbrellas at Nola Unbrellas
$100 on flip flops at Buyalotofthings.com (I borrowed the baskets for these)
$350 on permits and escorts
Our total was a about $1500 but you could definitely do it for less.

awwww. Lagniappe Brass band is the only one I couldnt get a quote from because they were already booked for my day. Has anyone been successful with trying to talk down the bands? most of them have been quoting me 1000 or 950, thats alot for 30 minutes!

I did a board search and it looks like Dr. Jazz is the lowest at $500.

I hired the Storyville Stompers and they were amazing. I think it cost $895 and I gave each musician a $20 tip. This was absolutely the best part of my wedding and was totally worth every penny. They were incredibly professional and easy to work with.

I know it seems like a lot for 30 minutes, but there are so many of them in a band. They are probably only making $100-150 each.

Young Pinstripe is $775-800 I believe. The group that manages the original Pinstripe also manages Young Pinstripe and one other, if you send them an email they will quote you all at once.
